Rougarou Collective Tattoo Shop — Attraction in Ponchatoula

Five star earned! I requested a tattoo appointment Tuesday on their website, within two hours they responded with such an amazing attitude! The man I talked to on the phone was so kind, helpful, and actually was very excited to talk about the tattoo I wanted! We set an appointment so quick! The next day I was seen for a free consultation. While I was waiting I got a look around and being an artist for so many years I just want to say that at this company everyone is extremely talented! I study a lot of art, and I know good tattoos when I see them. Also,my tattoo artist, Kenneth, was amazingly really sweet and so helpful. He was connected with me about my tattoo, answered all the questions I was curious about, he knew automatically what he could do to the design to fit my personality, he explained everything in great detail! The day of the appointment was even better. I walked in extremely nervous..they told me I would do just fine and that it is worth it. It's good to know they care so much about their clients, you can tell automatically how such a great business it is! Great price also for the size tattoo I received! Great environment! All in all it was such an amazing experience! It was my first tattoo and I already know I'll definitely be coming back! I received my first tattoo from this shop a little over 2 weeks ago. I reached out to them through Facebook not knowing anything about the process and they did not disappoint from start to finish. They went above and beyond to answer my questions and made sure I understood every step. I did not know it at the time but the owner himself (Stuart Ridgel) was the one talking to me the entire time. That personal touch from an owner shows his drive and care for his business and customers. Then the amazing artist James Colceri took my thoughts and horrible doodles (lol) and turned them into a masterpiece and a perfect tribute to my daughter. I can't express through "text" the amount of talent Rougarou Collective has in all of their artist. Check out their art for yourself if you don't believe me. But it's not just their skills, they genuinely care and treat you like you're apart of their family. Whether it's your first tattoo with them or your 100th. So all that being said I HIGHLY recommend them. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to set up my next appointment with James to finish our "vision". First off I’ve been dealing with this since I got the tat. After 6 months it looked faded, that I had the tattoo for years! No one will touch it except one guy and I’m afraid it will just make it worse. I would like to say the artist that did it is a cool guy, nice to talk to not rude gave his thoughts. Now what upsets me is I email the artist and ask him to touch it up/fix it which AT MY APPOINTMENT he said it would be covered. In the email he wanted me to get another tattoo…then for him to touch it up. He also said it looked fine, which it’s doesn’t look fine the roses look dull and muddy at 6 months of healing?! Which his minimum is $400 (at the time not sure if it changed) I got this tat in December 2021 (first pic) 6 months after (second pic) and now…..like today. It’s still nice but compared to his work I’m kinda disappointed. I’ve gotten other tattoo artists comments and what they think and like I said I’m disappointed that this place handles touch ups, yet I got my back done and the artist touched it up no problem and even added too spots and I paid less...
