Store Space Self Storage — Attraction in Pontiac

I had a great experience when I got the storage. The young lady that helped me was very courteous, and professional. That was the best part of my experience. But the customer service after that was all down hill. My combination didn't work and I couldn't reach nobody by phone. I sat at the gate for 40 minutes trying to reach someone to find out protocol for after hours access. This was 7pm. I had u haul and movers waiting to enter. Repeatedly I called only to be forwarded to a hold. After the first 20 minutes of being on hold the connection was broke. Finally I was given an alternate access code. The storage was a nice unit. I was out of town for for 6 months. When I returned to remove my items. I was furious because I was unable to reach anybody to finalize my business for 2 days. I went to the office multiple times, no was there. I stood out side the office and made 10 failed attempts to reach someone by phone. Customer service for this location 3111 Centerpoint Pontiac is terrible. I wouldn't recommend Nobody to use this location. The frustration, the lack of communication is a turn off. I am shocked by how much management has deteriorated over the past couple of years. It seems that every time they hire good people, they ended up getting rid of them. I recently moved out due to the unprofessional behavior I witnessed. It's nearly impossible to find anyone in the office because employees are often seen smoking weed and sleeping in their cars. I've seen it for my own eyes and couldn't believe it until the guy walks in the office spraying disinfectant as if that covers up the horrendous smell of marijuana. I've seen them avoiding customers preventing them from coming into the office.

I was a loyal resident here; I opened up 3 units a few months after opening and have watched them cycle through countless employees over the past years. The current state of management is unacceptable, and I have no idea who is in charge now, but I am highly disappointed. Over the last six months, the place has been falling apart.

I even recommended a promising mayoral candidate for a potential purchase of 6-10 storage units. When he arrived, he reported that the manager reeked of marijuana and was preoccupied with off-topic jokes. It was obvious that he was completely out of it. The customer service at this storage facility was truly exceptional. Bianca and Shawn were both amazing from the time we got out of the car. Shawn opened both the doors for us they both greeted us with smiles. Pulled our reservation up with ease and they even have this little cool feature they send a text to your phone and in minutes you have your lease code and everything. Bianca signed us up and Shawn escorted us to the unit. We received our lock. And all the information we needed. We were extremely stressed during this time but they truly put us at ease and made our day. The rates are very reasonable, the promotion they have right now you can not beat and the site itself is beautiful it’s very clean and the security features are pretty cool.
