Dollar General — Attraction in Port Aransas

We came to Port Aransas for a long weekend, stopped at the dollar general because I forgot my shampoo. Shelves had not been stocked, boxes and merchandise in aisles, just unorganized. I feel completely overpriced because they know you have little options as other places to go on island. The line was very long which also completely understandable due to the fact they have one cashier. One very rude cashier at that! Yelling at customers and incredibly bad attitude. I personally would fire her if I were there manager...oh wait a minute she is the manager. Tiffany I am calling you out hopefully your behavior will be dully noted by corporate. Your attitude was completely uncalled for, unprofessional and a very poor representation of the company you...

It's a Dollar General. Little bit of anything, cheaply made in China, but they need better shoes. This store, specifically, has a badass manager. The employees have pretty much always been kind n courteous, all have been knowledgeable of their store and the local area. Update 3/4/22* Not the same manager, different atmosphere all together. Every DG I go into, lately, seems like an obstacle course with stock boxes strewn all over, not on shelves and often not priced correctly nor in their respective location. Mind you, that's been, generally, any DG, not this one...

A very good selection of food and general merchandise products. Like a lot of Dollar General stores this one was understaffed and it showed. The floors needed to be swept, the shelves needed to be dusted and a broken front door kept opening and slamming shut on its own. The store was well stocked and I had no problem in finding the snack items that I was looking for. The cashier was friendly and polite though it was apparent that she was a bit overwhelmed with all that she had to do. This is a good DG store but could probably do with a few more employees to help...
