I try not to be catty/negative with these reviews, but I'm honestly puzzled by how the average rating for this mall is as high as it is. Maybe I'm just being harsh because I'm comparing the mall now to what it was in the 1990s and early 2000s, when it was actually still a good mall. It started losing businesses and foot traffic after Hurricane Rita, even moreso after the recession hit, and in my opinion it still hasn't fully recovered.
Good things? The Target location, for which I am utterly convinced their overflow foot traffic is the only real reason this mall is still open. Bed, Bath & Beyond was a good addition. The Cinema is nice considering it's one of the only movie theaters in mid-county, but take my advice: only go there during daylight hours. I swear, and I'm not even joking, I have literally seen an active mugging in progress the past three times I went there at night. They're not even discreet about it anymore, you can see the people loitering in the parking lot waiting to pounce. But yeah, other than those features, there's not much good about the mall anymore. About half of the storefront sections are unoccupied, and the majority of the other half are just a repetitive cycle of new businesses that go under 6 months after they open.
As much as I hate to say it - since this mall really was pretty awesome back in the day - It's worth the extra time and the gas money to just drive to...
Read moreOne of the worst theaters I've seen in my life. They even had the audacity to turn the heat on in the theater we were in. There was 37 seats, a very small theater so the fact that the temperature was at least 85 degrees or more is absurd! Like.. they were throwing people out and even had a rude employee with a certain bravado that was threating as if he was a police officer or something which made no sense at all. The theater literally had tomatoes on the floor (which I have no idea how) the theater was DISGUSTING. THE screen had a black metal looking bar going across the bottom of it and the speakers did NOT WORK. The little manager was respectful and cool but some of the employees, that one in particular was just doing way too much! The seats were filthy and dusty.. just EWWW there is no telling whats living and or crawling around in there. All in all.... GO TO TINSEL TOWN IN BEAUMONT. DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER.

Read moreHorrible Wi-fi. Went to their Bath and Body Works store. Sale on Candles. I could not pull up my email with my 20% coupon. Asked them if I could use my sister's. Cashier said yes, but I will have to take it. I explained in Houston they let me use my coupon several times. She said "no". I checked out with no coupon and stepped to side. After @ 15 mins. my email came up. I got back in long line & made her return it all and ring it up with my coupon that I told her I had. Won't be going back to this location. Nevermind that I drove from Beaumont for this fiasco..Rude cashier but manager was nice, @ cashier explained I was returning all 20 candles and wanted my 20% back. If they were not "Sold Out" online, I would not have stepped one foot through their door in 1st place..Bring up your email before you go into Mall & pray it comes up when you are in store. They need Wi-fi. What mall does not have wi-fi in 2017?...
