When I say I have never left a review anywhere, I haven’t but with this place I had to because it was the most horrible experience I have had in a hotel. First thing, we get checked in to a hotel room that was filled with MOLD. The AC was taken out, the room was dirty. I went back down to let the manager Nancy know, she moves me to another room. The room was DIRTY, still had trash from the last person there, not cleaned at all and the funny thing the last person that was there moved and I’m pretty sure was because of the same issue I had. Well we waited for a quick clean because the communication here is so bad that nobody was notified about the dirty room. We stayed there because we had to evacuate due to Hurricane Beryl and not having any power at all at home. I called the front desk around 7:30 letting them know that there’s an issue with the AC because it kept turning off every 15-20 minutes and it will not cool. It was 77 degrees in that room, he said that he will call the AC guy to come and take a look it was already 9 PM and nobody had came. I called to just forget about it because we were all sleep deprived due to not being able to sleep in the heat at home, I NEVER said it was cooling again, etc. In the morning, I go to the front desk and let the manager Nancy know that the AC is not working and and we’re not satisfied to stay another night due to the lack of this hotel since the beginning. She said she will speak to the owner of the hotel. I come back to check out and see if I was going to receive any credit back due to the AC not working properly at all. She stated that owner said that the guy who took my call said that I called back to say that the room was cooling and no need for the ac guy. LIE LIE LIE. I never said that it was cooling, he literally told me that he would have to call the AC guy to come and take a look. Manager Nancy Miller said that the AC was actually in house the whole time, well how come he didn’t go when I waited almost 2 hours? Just ridiculous. I have a small kid who didn’t sleep good TWICE because of the AC not working, I got up 5 times through the night to turn on and off that AC for it to work and no luck and I even had PROOF of what the message the AC had and they still didn’t at-least go check the AC to see I was saying the truth or even asked for to see the picture, NOTHING. If you read through all of this, moral of the story is to not stay here due to the lack of communication and the room had a smell of dirty carpet and it was so humid in there and the last person MOVED to another room due to the same reason but I get called basically a liar. Do not stay here and I would never recommend this hotel to nobody, I have never stayed in a Comfort Inn like this one. Really wasted my money here, knowing we are limited due to the hurricane. Never got a credit because I was supposedly “lying” when the response from the MANAGER Nancy wasn’t...
Read moreWell, the first time we stayed there it was ok. We stayed on the first floor. Not far from the front desk. The halls and lobby were pretty quiet and empty. The door to the room would not close properly. You had to basically slam the door shut for it to catch the door latch. The room was good, the bed is comfort and the TV and fridge worked ok. The bathroom is pretty out dated. It needs to be remodeled. Not the cleanest looking. There was rust on the bathroom hinges on the inside of the bathroom. The breakfast was ok and they have waffles in the shape of Texas. That stay was ok. Now foe the second time we stayed at this hotel they put us in the same room. That felt a little weird. Are there really no other rooms. I saw they had not fixed the door yet. The bathroom looked the same. The room was pretty much the same. The beds are still comfortable. Ok,the strange thing that happened there was at about 1AM someone opened my room door. I could not see them and had the door wide opened. I had woken up to watch YouTube about midnight because I could not sleep due to us going to be leaving early in the morning. We were supposed to leave at 6AM. I thought at first it was my niece or my brother in law. My niece said, she didn't have a key to the room. My brother in law was staying at his mom's house that Nigh. I just thought it was one of them. They said,no it was not them. The thing is the front desk guy and maybe girl were in the lobby. Who opened my door ,I don't know. They just stood at the door. I was like what is happening. They closed the door after 3 to 5 minutes. After my niece texted me back saying it was not her. I did get scared. I was thinking did the front desk guy do it because the girl was asleep on the sofa in he'd pajamas. He had a laptop on the table and he was in the lobby but back behind the front desk when we rushed out saying we wanted to check out. Either he let someone have a key to our room or he had opened that door. I never made a complaint. I was very scared. We got out of dodgr at about 1:30 Am to 2Am. We high tailed it out of that hotel. My sister and my child were in the same room with me sound asleep. I don't know who opened the door mindset and their plans or decision for opening our door but glad I was not sound asleep too. We left that city as fast as we could. That was my experience there. Make sure to use the extra locks on your door. You never know who may have a key or knows how to pop the lock...

I came the next day to let the lady know at the Front Desk about the situation and said she will speak to the owner. I come back to checkout because we were not going to stay there another night, the whole thing was horrible and a waste of money. She tells me that she spoke to the owner and that the owner said he wasn’t going to refund us anything back because the guy who I spoke to regarding the situation said I called back to say it was cooling. I NEVER said that, we literally got up like 5 times through the night to turn on and off that AC so it could cool, I have a kid who was sweating because it was so hot and humid in that room.
