Port Neches Riverfront Park — Attraction in Port Neches

My whole family loves this park! From playing at the playground, to the waterpark, to going and watching the river, to even being able to rent out the pavilion overlooking the water! For freeeeeeeee! The only thing I really wish this park had was a walking path that went around majority of the park. As it is you either have to walk through the large spance of grass from the playground to the waters edge or get in your vehicle and drive all the way around if it's wet. I love working out at Wesgroves and Doornbos parks due to the paths, but I would really love being able to be near the river and exercise easily too. :) Oh, and if you play Pokemon Go? There are 3 gyms and 3 poke stops within the park with some stops on the outer streets you could catch too...

This is such a wonderful place. In walking distance of the WheelHouse and also close to several other restaurants if you get hungry, TWO gorgeous parks, and a well-kept splash pad to stay cool. The river isn't too far either, if that is your preferred summer activity. I love that the playground is double-fenced, and there is only one entrance. As a helicopter parent, it always makes me feel a little safer. There is plenty of shade on the playground side, and seating too, but if you cross over to the splash pad side, you might want to bring a chair and an umbrella or a canopy for your own shade. Especially if you have very tiny ones. There are a few tables that are covered, but not enough for the many people that...

Everyone misses tugboat Island. Bathrooms need to be fixed up a little, at least a shower curtain or something on missing stall doors. Maybe they could spend a little money on maintenance and maintaining the restrooms a little. This park is important to all people in the area I would like to thi k that THEY as well as the city of Port neches, the city board and community would pitch in on maintaining a proper restroom for the kids and parents, this is the only place I know of for family's to go together, for free, and BBQ picnic and have good, safe fun. They build million dollar fire stations, bars, restaurants, they can make an effort...
