Wardle Family YMCA — Attraction in Port Royal

Terrible management, just awful. We showed up to use the sauna and were told they were delaying it because they heard thunder and that we could get struck by lightning because of the wet floor. Meanwhile, one employee is sitting and reading on a metal chair on the wet floor, other is sitting on a metal bench and the man telling us this is using a lead hose spraying the floor. This YMCA really needs to come up with a better solution for locker rooms. Only having 3 family locker rooms but prohibiting children from going to the other locker rooms is absurd. If a child is accompanied by their adult guardian there should be no restrictions. Great local gym with enough equipment and weights to get a good workout in. They over lots of workout classes as well. Kickboxing, spin, yoga, just to name a few. They have an indoor lap pool and an outdoor zero entry play pool for the kids. There is a sauna and steam room. They do have a hot tub but it is currently closed for maintenance. They over lots of sports options for all ages. They have a childcare center that is open in the mornings...
