We came here from out of town for a concert. We had never been here before and didn't know what to expect but we ended up having a great time. It's a beautiful place for a relaxing afternoon as well as the perfect place for an outdoor show. They had a nice setup. Security did a great job, and everything ran very smoothly. They had numerous portable restrooms available, which was better than most outdoor shows I've been to. There were great food choices with the truck vendors they had. Something for everyone and at affordable prices too! The sound quality was very nice. The stage is large and has steps so the entertainers can get close up with the crowd. Parking was free and easy to find all around the area. It was a piece of cake getting in and out even after a crowded event. The bands that performed were Alien Ant Farm, The Ataris, MAKEOUT, the Thomas Nicholas Band, Free Range Youth, and Seldom Told. They all sounded great and interacted with the fans throughout the show. They had merch tables set up, and you could meet and talk with most of the bands. We got a free poster for having pit tickets, and my son got his signed by every band there! Everyone was incredibly kind to my 11 year old son, and he had an amazing time. We will definitely look into coming to future events held here, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area who might be considering coming to an event here. It's big enough to hold a nice sized event with known artists while still maintaining an intimate feeling/setting, which is hard to pull off. It is very easy to find if you're coming from out of town, and it's awesome to see shows like this coming to the area. I'm very glad we came.

There are events throughout the summer at the Amphitheater. It's a great spot right off Central. They have music shows, etc., and you can find out more from Facebook pages for City of Portage and the Chamber of Commerce. There is also a great park next store for kids that was installed by Hannah's Hope foundation. Check it out when you...
