I'm not sure about all locations but I want to send a review for the Gresham location . If I could give NO STARS I would . We have been customers for years and have done many party's there. Back in December we were trying to set up a party and wanted to reserve a table area I called multiply times and even brought cash in one day to try in person (what a joke ) No one is ever capable of doing that except certain managers who happen to never be in or they're on Lunch . I finally got something reserved for a day we didn't want . The day of the party we came in to find out they had doubled booked the area and we weren't able to have a reserved area . They allowed us to use a non Reservable area which wasn't enough space for as many people as we had coming. The whole time they never offered to refund me part of my money or to give me anything for another time. In fact we were harassed by some of the employees telling us we couldn't set up and takeover 2 tables in that area. I told them to talk to their manager . Now my son really wanted to go there for his party so I called in to talk to someone who surprise surprise was on lunch and so Victoria( I believe that was her name) the girl I talked to told me don't worry I'll have them call you back, right away, if not today first thing tomorrow . That was a week before the actual call back. I asked to reserve a table but didn't want to have a whole package because of issues last time and I didn't want to be out so much money again . All of our guests are paying their own way this time around . I was called a lier that double booking isn't possible and she didn't understand my problem . The customer service is awful and I don't recommend going to them . I wish this wasn't the case because it's the only place in the area to do laser tag and we love doing this activity with our kids. We have spent so much $ there and have so many parties bringing others in I expected them to treat customers better then this . But the employees have no idea what they're doing . If the doors are open there should be someone present knowing how to handle basic things like booking parties. It was to complicated to book online in December because we were doing a movie party and wanted a reserved table area/ admission after the movie to have cake...
Read moreUnderstandable policy goes too far. My 7 year old was invited to a birthday party here. He’s never been before and doesn’t know the birthday boy’s parents, so I want to walk him to the party tables so he knows where they are and introduce him to the supervising adults so he knows who they are if he needs help. If you walk in, you HAVE to pay full admission no matter what. There is no allowance to walk young kids to the party and the place doesn’t provide staff to do it. So full admission was paid for the two minutes it took me to walk him back and then leave. Then, when I went to pick him up, they make you pay full admission a second time to go in to get him. I felt terrible for the parents hosting the party. They spent most of their time shuttling kids in and out instead of getting to enjoy the party or supervising the safety of a group of young kids in a public arcade. Worst of all, they paid twice for a lot of parents who just dropped off or picked up their kids and didn’t utilize the place at all. The place also limited the number of times the birthday party hosts could walk in or out such as taking gifts to the car. I understand wanting to ensure no one inside skipped paying their due, but this is too extreme. It left all of the young kids in an unsafe and unsupervised situation and the party hosts paying way over what...
Read moreThis is probably the best arcade in the Portland area to bring kids to. It's got two pretty big game rooms and a 2nd run movie theater. The theater is old and not updated at all but you can't beat the price. The games are a mix of new and old but they have all been retrofitted with the game card system that keeps track of your credits and tickets. The prizes are mostly cheap trinkets but they have some cool prizes if you pool your tickets or hit some jackpots (and really the kids don't care that it's mostly cheap party favor type stuff). Their prize lineup is almost the exact same as it was when I went there as a teenager over 20 years ago. It's one of those places you definitely need to visit at least once if you're a Portlander. The only reason I knocked off a star is that they are and have always been woefully understaffed. Also, their sanitation precautions don't really exist at all. There doesn't seem to be any kind of admission limit, so the cramped quarters makes social distancing impossible. Also, they told us over the phone that they wipe down the machines in between use. They don't. And I think it would be impossible anyways, based on the understaffing and heavy business. Bring hand sanitizer or, even better,...
