I was tricked into getting a credit card when I checked out at this location. I am extremely displeased with my experience. The associate asked me if I would like to apply for their rewards program and get 10% off so I said sure. She glossed over the agreement at the beginning to get me to apply and not once did she mention that I was applying for a credit card or that there would be a credit check on my credit. After I expressed my displeasure when I realized I had applied for a credit card, because I didn’t want any applications on my credit report currently, she then blamed me for not paying attention when she was rushing me through the process. She then said that if I didn’t use the card it wouldn’t affect my credit. I had to explain to her that even a credit check can have a negative effect on your credit.
If this is the Marshall’s store policy on how they get people to apply for their in store credit card these are shady tactics and an immoral way to do business. I don’t think I’ll be returning to a Marshall’s ever. It’s not worth the discount I got on the dog treats today.
Re: Marshall’s. Unfortunately asking if there is anything you can do after an undesired credit check on my credit is too little too late. You can’t fix the inquiry on my...
Read moreCompared to the Marshall stores that are in Beaverton this one's a little bit lackluster but it's not bad they do have an range of good stuff but not really up to my standards but it's not bad it's great if you just need to get something cheap you need to get out of there their shoe selection is really lacking but personally I think the store just gets a lot of traffic and that's why they don't have a lot of items.
Super cool and friendly people well I usually get those folks anyways but yeah really great store to shop at?
I ran in because as usual my little 4-year-old niece forgot her tennis shoes at her mom's house so I thought I'd pick some up and I got a great deal on a great pair of shoes for her.
The best part about going here at the shopping mall, well you never get asked for money and honestly they do a good job of keeping those kind of folks out they got all of Portland and downtown to go ahead and do that with let's keep...
Read moreThe website hours listed by Google for this specific location are incorrect. It is the very first search result. When I come to the store, I see the sign says you open at 10am on Sundays when the Google results show you open at 9:30 AM. Please fix this, I did not need to waste a half hour of my morning on my weekend. And responding to this review by suggesting that I go to your website is silly. It should not take a detective to find out what your accurate hours are. Show your customers respect for their time by correcting the Google results. A professional response would be to thank me for this information, and saying you understand that it is an asset to Marshalls as well as potential customers to have accurate hours...
