Market Square Jewelers — Attraction in Portsmouth

...welp--they've done it again! My Dad and I emailed Gail last week to inquire about a beautiful tri-color braided ring that was listed for sale. Not only did Gail respond quickly, she was so helpful with options and ideas to fit my Dad's budget. The ring went perfectly with the custom necklace we made for my Mama at MSJ last year. (The necklace was made out of my Grandmother's engagement ring and a couple other deco style bands that MSJ makes beautifully... G'ma's ring was yellow gold with a diamond, the other two bands were white and rose gold. They were made into a heart shape with G'ma's diamond in the top curve of the heart.) The braided ring was intended to replace a special ring that was lost, compliment the necklace, and also as a gift for my parent's 45th wedding anniversary. Gail ensured shipping so that the ring arrived just in time to celebrate their anniversary today:) "I LOVE IT, MORE THAN MY ORIGINAL!" I had an absolutely amazing time here, let me just say I have an absolute obsession with watches and rings and while I didn’t get a chance to pick anything up on this trip to Portsmouth, the experience I had with the staff will definitely bring me back. Between the stores in Florida, North Carolina, Hawaii, and any (insert name) chain jeweler, I haven’t met a more friendly or knowledgeable staff than at Market Square Jewelers in Portsmouth. Gayle and I think Delia both greeted me in their own time as they were both working with someone when I walked in, but the young girl named Brittany absolutely blew me away with her level of knowledge and enthusiasm for what she does for work. Some of the places I have walked into over the years have felt less friendly and more hungry (I’m assuming due to commission) but I didn’t get that feeling at all with any of the staff. The selection of jewelry was also wonderful, the work from the jewelers for the pieces was gorgeous and you can tell they are truly gifted at their craft. Shopping at market square jewelers is a delightful experience that will keep you coming back for years. Their entire staff is welcoming, helpful and enjoyable! I bought my first ring from Rick back in November and have already become what feels like being party of the market square jeweler family. Since November I’ve made four purchases from them and been overjoyed with each experience working with them! I’ll note that during the past 10 months I’ve been on a major recovery journey, and learning how to get back to the closest normal possible; becoming a disabled person with a traumatic brain injury through this event. I have been coming into the Portsmouth store every few weeks in my braces (neck, leg and wrist), transitioning from a walker with a wrist assist, to just a walker, and even most recently in crutches. It has been truly heart warming to see the compassion shown by each staff member every time; checking in on me and congratulating me as they notice more fluidity in my movements, talk about customer service!
