Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store — Attraction in Post Falls

Normally I would give the Idaho Youth Ranch thrift store 5 stars instead of 2. I drive from Rosalia WA. so I can shop at the Youth Ranch or I should say I use too Today was the last day that I will go there.

I was at the Youth Ranch thrift store in Postfalls ID. While they do have some great bargains today I found out their practices of over pricing . I found a cute pair of new womans white tennis shoes with Mini Mouse on the side. They still had a Walmart clearance price tag with the original product tags still on them for 3.00. The Youth Ranch had them priced at 10.00. When I asked about the large price up I was told that the woman that does the pricing wasn't there and that she should have taken off the Walmart tags so people wouldn't know the original price. I get that they need to make money, but to raise the price of a donated iteam over 100% is wrong and to remove the original price tag is deceiving their customers in my opinion. I go to thrift store to find bargains and to save money. Not to pay more for the iteam than I would if I bought it new at a department store. This is my reason for giving the 2 star...

Its just there prices. Somethings are alot more money then goodwill.today i stopped by real quick needed a project found something kinda cool cheap enough went to check out the girl there keli i think was her name was kinda rude ask her for a bag and it was like to much effort for her to bend over. And get me. One. The last time i was in there. She was the same way to the people a head of me i probably not go back this time it gets old after a while well today i stopped by wasnt gonna i thought well just maybe well their prices are getting real stupid i found a light they had there. Which they carry at the dollar store i know because i have bought some but they had a 5 dollar price.tag on a dollar item well it might not mean. Alot but i spend alot of money there well im not going back thats stupid there prices employees ya forget. It. I like goodwill there alot...

The older blonde woman working there tonight (9/5) was very rude and I want the owner to know she is turning away donations ahead of closing. We had two small boxes of new and like-new items to donate, so we pulled around to the donation door about 5 minutes before closing. There were two employees organizing a pile of items outside, door open, lights on.

Before we could even get out of the car, this woman gave us the nastiest look and started angrily shooing us away and yelling, "No! We're already closed!!" We got back in the car but she just stood there glaring at us threateningly all the way out of the parking lot.

No idea what her problem was, or why it was such a big deal to let us put our boxes on the ground next to the heap of other stuff they just got for free, but I found her behavior really insulting, so in the future I will be gifting my items...
