33 1-star reviews over the past year! Now we understand why. Imagine making reservations for your mother’s 80th birthday celebration and Fu-Ki is her restaurant of choice. 3 relatives fly in for the occasion, one from out of the country. We dress, take photos and eagerly head out for the birthday dinner, only to find the restaurant closed, no one has keys to open. Employees scattered in the parking lot. No one has a key. Sheer disappointment. We scramble to find another suitable dining establishment on my mother’s birthday. I understand emergencies, things happen. But that’s when a good owner steps up and defines who and what kind of reputation they will have. To our dismay, there was no call from the restaurant management or owner, no apology, even after advising an employee that we would like to hear from the owner, Lily. Crickets. Today, a week later, I decide to follow-up. I am more than a little disturbed by the lack of concern by local ownership, especially after hearing they are opening another restaurant in Hayden Lake, closer to wear where my parents live. What has happened to people that care, businesses that want and value loyalty? At the very least I would have expected a sincere apology and a “how can we make this right” attitude. Instead, we received a call back today, with an offer of 10% off our next visit. Are you kidding me? I follow-up with you, giving you a chance to square the debacle and you insult us with a 10% off your next visit offer. Do you realize how much business you just lost multiplied by the number of people we will communicate our experience to? A comped meal for my parents would have been the least you should have offered, especially when it would have cost you so little to actually “do the right thing”. Opportunity lost. You clearly do not understand the value of loyalty. You missed a WOW moment that could have created a customer for life, instead we will not be visiting your restaurant ever again. Consider what the true cost of that decision was. We...
Read moreWHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE 4.5 RATING!!! I wish I looked further into the reviews before eating here because there were others that felt the same .
Me and my fiancé are from Olympia Washington so we were heavily relying on reviews for everywhere we have been going on our vacation.
Outside of this restaurant looked very nice. Walking in, everything was wide open and very plain . Floors were gross , tables were gross , walls were gross , the “bar” looked like a run down deli . The bathrooms were disgusting. I honestly wanted to leave at the sight of this place and I wish I trusted my instincts but we decided to stay due to the reviews .
The chef was friendly . However , I noticed immediately his tray he walked out with was filthy . All the containers for sauce were dripping , the butter bowl was used with food drippings all over it like it had been used all night . All his sauce bottles were filthy .
The rice had so much soy sauce added then to top it off he added their secret sauce . Also the eggs added to the rice still had shells !! The vegetables were way too salty and over cooked . The shrimp weren’t deveined . We both ordered filet mignon , the chef put it on the grill and immediately cut the steaks into uneven pieces . We have been to many Japanese steakhouses and always order filet mignon, it’s such a tender , beautiful piece of meat . Usually they let it cook a bit before slicing . We like the meat to be medium rare . However due to the uneven pieces , the larger pieces were RARE and tasted alive still . Mignon I can usually eat pretty rare and it’s delicious. I was super let down with this whole meal. My fiancé also ordered yakisoba which was also dripping in their damn secret sauce which is quite disgusting. Overall everything was so salty and not good .
The waitress was definitely on drugs . Her mouth wouldn’t stop moving and never came to see if we wanted anything else after our initial order .

Read moreI really wish things went better… we were all excited to have a good night and celebrate me moving, and every other sushi place in CDA was packed, so we went here despite my only other experience being bad. I went in optimistic…well now I’m vomiting the next day, and cannot even pack for my move. The rolls tasted pretty good, although it was concerning to see the raw fish rolls sit in the light on top of the sushi bar for over 20 minutes while the seemingly new sushi chef needed the other to drop his orders to help him with the more complicated, cooked, rolls. I watched my raw salmon and yellowtail sit there right under what looked to be a heat lamp for like I said, over 20 minutes. The other party, much much larger than mine of three, came in around 15 minutes after us but still got all of their food before us, despite order after, being there way later, and order much more. My boyfriend order the chicken cutlet which was so horrible he could finish it, and he NEVER complains when eating out. He couldn’t stop being sad all night because of how horrible the food was, and for his cutlet he had to wait a whole 50 minutes, and me and my friend had already finished our multiple rolls of sushi (which they already gave us extremely late and messed up the order). Even though it took forever, was the wrong order, and I was skeptical of the raw fish sitting out for so long, I was desperate to have a good time and ate it… big mistake. I ate nothing else yesterday so I cannot be convinced it was anything other than the rotten fish. I’m so sad and frustrated as I only have two days to pack up and now I have food poisoning. Thanks for the waste of 70 dollars and over an hour of my last few weeks in...
