Rude customer service. I bought a fitting for a project, and went back to return it since I found it to be defective. As soon as I mentioned that the item didn't work, I was told that they weren't able to take anything back after it was used. Under normal circumstances, I completely agree with this policy not to accept used material. However, the fitting they sold me was defective, so I assumed they would make it right. The cashier lady wearing a face mask (is that still a thing?) told me they "couldn't have the fitting in the building" once it had been used, backed away from the counter, and assumed an attitude of wanting me to leave as quickly as possible. Maybe the mask explains it. I don't think Ace should hire people who are afraid of their customers. I guess I'll buy my stuff from Home Depot in the future, since they are always great about accepting responsibility for defective products.
In response to Ace Hardware's reply:
You are mistaken. The product that I attempted to return was purchased at this location on May 2nd, 2025. I attempted to return it on the 8th of May. If 7 days is "beyond the return period," then I don't know what the return period could be. 24 hours maybe? Also, the product could not have had mineral buildup. It was a fitting for a gas appliance. Gas doesn't accumulate minerals...
Read moreWent in yesterday midday, figured I would give the Post Falls store another chance for a spark plug and maybe check out dog food again. To my dismay and disgust, the mouse infestation in the dog food aisle has still NOT been taken care of. There were mouse droppings all over the floor mixed in with dog food and all of the shelves. The disappointing part is I had brought this issue up with the store employee and the store manager back in February yet here we are still dealing with the same problem. Clearly, this hasn’t been addressed, and I can’t help but think of all of the dogs and cats pet food that is contaminated, and those animals could be possibly sick because of their negligence. Store owners need to know about this as well as the local health department! This pet food aisle needs to be gutted, completely stripped down, cleaned disinfected the contaminated food all needs to be discarded. And above all this needs to NOT happen during store hours when customers are in the store shopping. This needs to be addressed after hours properly! Stores have insurance policies, contact a pest control company and a cleaning company get...
Read moreI have no issue showing ID to receive my military discount. I am I the ACE HARDWARE system that shows I am eligible for my military discount when I give them my phone number. This gal clerk ask for ID so I showed her my drivers license, she then asked for military ID, what I have is my electronic real ID proof, she wanted more so showed her an electronic copy of my DD214, all this for a $1.47 discount. It’s amazing Lowes and Home Depot give them your phone number it’s done. I have been in the ACE HARDWARE data base for over 6 years, never had this type of issues with any other ACE Hardware Idaho or Montana. What is going on at this location ? She was a total clown, next time I am in Post Falls area I’ll deal with Lowe’s or Home Depot. This place is a clown show at Serights Ace Hardware in Post Falls. It appears their clerks try to make it hard for vets to get the military discount that Ace hardware stores...
