Second time here in a few years. Came with 5 other people, 2 were regulars. Sat outside to watch and listen to the live music. Had to adjust the outside umbrella's as they didn't actually block the sun for any chairs and it was hot. We were told there was no food that evening since the cook left early. We ordered 3 sets of "The gauntlet" which is a 1/2 ounce pour of every distillate they produce, plus 2 cocktails for the ladies with us. Waitress was awesome, drinks were good, music was great, then the owner comes over and starts cussing and yelling at us for adjusting the umbrella. We did it carefully 45 minuets earlier when we first got there and we had not been drinking. He could have done it in a far, far more reasonable way without belittling us, or causing a scene. We will never be back. He lost the sale of at least 3 bottles that evening, and any in the future from us and anyone I talk with in my whiskey club. Good luck with...

As the stainless steel silos visible from West Seltice Way might tell you, there’s a craft distillery on Post Falls’ western outskirts.

Up North Distillery prides itself on producing small-batch craft spirits, with a “farm to flask” philosophy. The selection includes barrel-aged honey spirits and apple brandies, matured for 1-2 or 2+ years.

These are made with 100% local grains, fruit and honey, and every part of the distilling process is done by hand.

The menu changes from season to season and you can visit the bar, mixing up a variety of cocktails and also pouring spirits and beers from around the region. Food trucks on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays...

Their single malt whiskey is single handedly some of the best whiskey I have ever had. Smooth and easy drinking, no unpleasant aftertaste, just the right mix of bitter and sweet. Way way better than your traditional whiskies sold in liqour stores. I don't know what kind of mash they are using or what secret they have but all it took was one sip on the rocks for me to be hooked. I wish I could find this on the east coast where I'm from. Highly recommend stopping and having a cocktail or taking a bottle home like I did. I didn't drink or eat at the establishment, just bought a bottle to...

Cool little spot. Only one bartender working and the place was pretty full so we had to wait a few for drinks, which was a big deal to us, but I could see some not happy with the wait. The drinks were well balanced and tasted good. I wouldn’t say it’s a craft cocktail place but it’s pretty close. Friendly bartender who apologized for the wait. You can by bottles whisky to go. I believe they do a small tour of the distillery but we did not do this.
