If you want to know about how Poulsbo came to be as a town and it’s rich history you must visit The Maritime Museum and Visitor Center. It is located right in the historic downtown Poulsbo and conveniently located next to the Heritage Museum. These two museums complement each other as far as history goes in Poulsbo. It is in this museum that I found that Poulsbo was truly supposed to be Paulsbo, being that the name Paul was misspelled or misread according to historical documents and papers of which I have a photo of. All of their volunteers are so eager to show you what they have for you to learn the history and they are all so knowledgeable and helpful in sharing the history to everyone that goes there.
