Jewel Box Theatre — Attraction in Poulsbo

A small playhouse that provides an intimate experience. The production I saw was Calendar Girls and it was very well done. The small size of the venue makes it feel as if you are just on the edge of the scene and almost part of it.

The cast crew and reception were all very kind and their love of what they are doing really shows.

I will say that the chairs are not the most comfortable of seats so even with an intermission 2.5 hours was a long time...

Nice little community theater; I would try it again. However, the seats were packed in too tightly. The show, Ring of Fire, just didn't work. A cast of characters that didn't gel with each other. No stand out singers. There was one fellow who had obviously a great deal of professional training, but he was miscast in this show. Ring of Fire just isn't a cabaret show. We left at intermission. I love supporting local theaters as much as I can - and the Jewl Box did not disappoint. My wife & I will visit again. Small & intimate - you can almost touch the actors. We look forward to their next production and can't wait to see what they have planned...
