This place was absolutely amazing. We came here on a Saturday based on a friend’s recommendation and I am so glad we did. The museum was small, so once a few people started coming in, it felt a little crowded. We were greeted at the door and as you first walk in there are lots of really cute souvenirs to purchase. The gentleman who was at the front began telling us about the history of Poulsbo and the fishing industry. He was so knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy his job. It was so interesting to listen to him talk about the people who lived here before and how the ships were made. He knew so much about the local history, people, trades, and migration. I really enjoyed our visit. There was so much to look at. Although the place was small, they had a lot of pictures, models, parts from old ships, videos, displays and actual pieces from old sailing vessels. I learned so much and I would love to come back again! I highly recommend that everyone visit this place, it is...

Grace very much answered my questions about Poulsbo quicker than having to read through wikipedia, while also gave me brief introduction about aspects of the town so I have an idea and profound understanding what I am looking at in both this museum and the nearby Maritime Museum (and thank you Grace for the special feature :) )
If you are curious about Poulsbo - have a look - and I hope you will agree with me. For me, this museum has more displays and covered every aspect of history. I really think it's...
Read moreWent to this Heritage Museum to see and learn more about the history and culture behind Poulsbo and I was glad I did. It was just a very small place but full of great artifacts and things that will tell you the stories behind Poulsbo.
It is right next door to Poulsbo Maritime Museum and they complement each other so it is very convenient to go to each one in order to get the full experience and understanding of the history and culture of Poulsbo.
It is located right in the historic downtown Poulsbo and there is free parking down the street.
It is free to get in and donations are welcome. We went there on a Weekend and it was crowded in downtown Poulsbo, but to get inside the Heritage museum was convenient and easy. There was no line when...
