I recently had the pleasure of visiting this fantastic store, Game On, and I can't say enough about the exceptional staff and service they provide. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist, and the store is Huge, Spacious and Clean. The staff's knowledge of their vast selection was impressive, and they were more than happy to answer any questions I had. Their recommendations (Magic Singles) were spot-on, helping me find the perfect card(s) and some awesome suggestions on additional cards. What truly stood out was their genuine passion for making every customer's experience enjoyable. Not once did I feel pressured to make a purchase, as the staff was respectful of my browsing time and gave me space to explore (again, it's a huge store). This kind of customer-centric approach is a rarity these days in a game type store and greatly appreciated. The store's selection of products is a treasure for all types of games. It's evident that the staff takes pride in curating a diverse and exciting range of products, ensuring there's something for everyone. In summary, The Game On store is a shining example of excellent service and a staff that goes above and beyond to create a memorable shopping experience in a game store environment. Oh, and that big wooden chest filled with dice is just mesmerizing to stare at (it’s a gamer thing).

Every store has a right to their prices. I however was shocked that a local business would charge double for a Pokémon set. I lost service in the store and my phone refused to load but when I left I figured out the set I bought was being sold several other places for $60. I paid $124 including tax. I am all for small businesses and would prefer to support them but this is shocking. Their customer service can use some attention as well. After paying I was waiting for a receipt and then asked if I was going to get one. With irritation, Gabby said her computer was being used for inventory and if I wanted “all she could do” is write one out for me. Not a good experience.

If I could give zero stars I would the place is an absolute rip off everything is over MSRP. All the employees have no knowledge of any of the board games and only knowledge of Pokémon cards like DND night is $15 per time you go there which is outrageous anybody can be a dungeon master and as for the owner I went in there today saw a game on the clearance shelf which was still $30 and he was talking about the games on that shelf that he brings them from home so I said hey if it’s your own personal game would you put on the price I’ll give you 20 for this game it’s an old legend of the five rings game which I’ve seen about three months ago still on the shelf and I said hey it’s been up there for a while let’s budge on that nope it is what it is he said this store is just a rip off their card sleeves are outrageously expensive I probably won’t go back there today or ever if you go to target.com an order for pick up or even order online you can price match and you find everything cheaper and targets right next-door every other place I’ve ever been to has been way cheaper than this place he just capitalize on the fact that he is the only game Store within hours so they will not be getting any more business for me I will do all my shopping online until I can make it down to Phoenix or Flagstaff or somewhere that’s better luckily I’m looking to putting in my own game store here in the next couple years things will be MSRP that are new popular games will be discounted because of popularity out of print games might be five dollars more but that’s because it’s special order not everything 15 $20 more than MSRP...

Game On is often the only option for MTG cards/accessories in Prescott, their awareness of this is made evident by their pricing. I purchased a Theros Beyond Death booster box at prerelease for 130 (market 100), Collector booster boxes were being sold for 300 (market 215). The employee that helped me was an older guy with glasses, short brown hair and facial hair maybe 50 years old. He wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to know much about the set which made deciding on a purchase difficult.

When purchasing cards from the case, they remove the card from its sleeve, and will charge you for another. When I bought a card from the case (Meren of Clan Toth, market 18), the employee that handled the transaction (Balding chubby guy with glasses, want to say light color hair maybe 35) was my first negative experience at Game On. He took the card out of the sleeve, when I asked if he would keep it in the sleeve, he continued to remove the card and explained that they charged for the type of sleeve that it was in. I was sort of disappointed about this but didnt make a big deal out of it. The employee then put the card into a heavily used sleeve and damaged the card when doing so and it seemed intentional. Maybe he was upset that I looked through the mixed dice for a while? I'll attach a photo of the damaged card if possible.

They have a great selection of cards and gaming accessories. Theres a younger guy who works there with long hair and a beard who is awesome, super helpful and friendly guy - very...

Abysmal Experience at Game On - Avoid at All Costs As an avid Magic: The Gathering player, I've had the pleasure of visiting numerous game stores across various states. Each one, until now, has welcomed me with open arms, fostering a loving and accepting community. Game On, however, was the polar opposite, and my experience there was nothing short of appalling. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming, a stark contrast to the vibrant and friendly environments I've come to expect. The staff, across the board, was rude and disrespectful, making it clear that customer service is not a priority here. The most egregious behavior came from an employee named Gabby. Her attitude was incredibly rude and disrespectful, and her unprofessionalism single-handedly ruined any chance of a positive experience. It's truly disheartening to encounter such a negative demeanor in a hobby that thrives on camaraderie and shared passion. Beyond the atrocious staff, the store itself is overpriced. Their inventory is marked up significantly higher than any other game store I've visited, which, coupled with the terrible service, makes it an entirely unappealing place to shop. It's no surprise that Game On seems to actively discourage customers from viewing their Yelp page. My visit made it abundantly clear why they would want to hide the inevitable deluge of negative feedback. Save your money and your sanity. There are countless welcoming and fairly priced game stores out there. Game On is not...
