Pros: Marinara sauce for pasta was amazing- addictive even. Pesto sauce is good as well but not as good as the marinara. The pizza was soft and yummy. The bread and cheese bread is soft with good flavor. The gelato is homemade- loved the different options. The price is super affordable in comparison to similar restaurants. Our food was running late, and the hostest-with-the-mostest offered some bread and marinara, so the service was great. The menu even offers some GF (gluten free) options.
Cons: The atmosphere needs some work. Feels old in style and lighting is awkward. The booths need to go. No need to keep repairing the holes, just replace. I recommend refreshing with some updated wallpaper, tile, new booths. Sell the spaceship gelato console thing, looks dated. Some things are unique and eye catching but do not add to the aesthetics, the spaceship is one of them. As a business owner myself, I understand that an interior refresh is expensive, but worth it! Update the place and charge $3-4 more per plate. May rile some feathers initially, but nobody else is selling for less, so they will come back, dont worry. Your food was excellent. The atmosphere greatly impacts perceived value and researches find it impacts how customers perceive the food itself. People are experiential eaters and the current interior impacts recollection of the place. For reference, I come from a tenured background in restaurant ops. Seeing aesthetically pleasing visuals triggers the brain's reward chemicals, so you will most certainly see more regulars. Just my two cents.
5 stars because the food was amazing and I have high hopes for an interior...
Read moreIf you get the chance look at the photo provided. Kids menu states one price, check states a different price. When brought to servers attention, a simple fix turned into something very ugly, very fast as out of the kitchen came Shaun.
I am assuming he is a manager or maybe the new owner??
He did not identify himself, I had to ask what his name even was...
Shaun likes to argue and tell you that he is right.
Shaun also needs to get educated on what the Attorney General's office does to Restaurants who do not charge posted pricing.
Be careful ladies and gentlemen.
Not only is he abusive towards customers that bring things to his attention, Shaun also likes to whip out his phone, like a 20 year old and snap photos of you, in your face, unannounced.
I am sure my face said it all (that look of surprise!) and if that didn't work, then I am definitely sure my double New York wave did. He would only give me a partial refund btw. Apparently, he is also not good with math either.
So here we are.
As a side note, entree's no longer come with bread on the side, kids meals have shrunk a lot, and the dough is bubbly not flat like it used to be. So kids pizza is all dough, no sauce and very little cheese. Too bad, my kids really...
Read moreI've been here twice now and both times the food, drink, and service was impeccable. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. And holy cow, talk about fantastic food! I had the Lobster ravioli on my first visit and shared a Build-Your-Own 16" pizza with my boyfriend on the second visit (pictured is a slice). The ravioli was soooo delicious (the sauce yum yum YUM), but the star of the show was the pizza! The crust is homemade (the use of local honey is a great addition) and is so fluffy and light and the perfect amount of crispy. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. Also with the second visit, we had dessert. I had the cannoli (pictured) and my boyfriend had the cheesecake (both freshly homemade). The crust on the cheesecake tastes like Christmas and the cannoli was the best I've ever had! We're not only making this restaurant our go-to when we're in the area when dropping our dog off for grooming, but we're gladly going to make the trip on pizza nights (with lots of desserts in tow)! I can't wait to try all of their gelato flavors as well! It's a great family-run restaurant in all...
