Frontier Village Prescott location: Before today I would have given service and atmosphere a better rating as I’d only picked up take out once before and it was fine. All other experiences have been placing door dash orders so no interactions there. Today I placed an order through the drive. There were 4 entrees and/or items for a total of just under $50. A 2 carne asada burrito combo, quesabirria with consomé, kids carne asada taco combo (taco, fries, churro), and shredded beef burrito. Bag was packed with red and green salsa, ketchup, forks, napkins. Wait time wasn’t bad. Two orders ahead of me and one came up behind. I enjoy their food in comparison to the other choices. Favorites have been the birria quesadilla although the consomé could be seasoned better. Birria tacos are good too. The carne asada can be too gristly and lacks seasoning but still enjoyable.
The issue today happened after they handed me the food and I asked if I could please get a big cup of water. The girl asked “what?” as I believe she didn't hear me. I repeated the request for a cup of water. She says, “next time ask at the menu.” I said “ok” as she stood there giving me attitude. So I say, “It’s ok. Never mind.” She then says “Yeah” as if proving her point and closed the window in my face.
I understand you were busy or may have been having a bad day. But your customer service today cost you the cash tip I was ready to hand you. (No, I don’t put it in the open bucket hanging from the window.) It also gives the customer the impression that their patronage is not needed or appreciated and the manager and owner should...
Read more3.5 stars. I got the combo meal that came with the 4 small street tacos. You can only choose 1 meat for all 4, which is fine. The combo also comes with rice and beans and a drink with free refills for about $13.50. I forgot which number combo it was. While I waited for the food to come out I helped myself to the free chips and salsa bar. The salsa is pretty good but slightly bland. But at least it's not store bought salsa, which is always too sweet. My meal came out in less than 10 minutes. The rice and beans were normal fare but still good and tasty. But the 4 tacos were lacking. I don't know what kind of carne asada meat they used but literally every small cube of meat was gristle. I couldn't break any meat apart with my teeth, I had to just chew and chew until I gave up and swallowed. Other than the taste of the grill on the meat it has no taste, I had to sprinkle salt on all the meat to give it some taste and it did make it better but it didn't fix the chewiness of course. I know steak is expensive but it's not like these were giant tacos. But I left full, I couldn't finish the last taco all the way. Unlike McDonald's when you spend the same amount of money these days and you're still left hungry. And I didn't even eat a lot of the free chips or free drink refills. There was a good amount of food on the plate. Overall, it was a nice enough "order and sit" kind of place. The staff was working on keeping it clean the whole time I was there and they also have...
Read moreThe place has great food but the cashier had horrible customer service. We ordered al pastor fries, 5 street tacos and 4 regular chicken tacos for my kids. When we got our food we noticed they had made our 4 regular chicken tacos into street tacos. Now if I’m being completely honest I don’t ever complain about mistakes with my food but my girls don’t like anything on their food. So i went ahead and told a worker there that I had asked for regular tacos, the lady understood and apologised, told me she was going to fix it and give me regular tacos. When I went back to sit down I can see and hear the cashier saying that they shouldn’t fix it because it was “our fault”, when I specifically told her I didn’t want any street tacos for my girls. She then comes to our table and tells us she wasn’t gonna fix our order because we asked for everything on the chicken tacos. I told her that’s not right because I specifically said I just wanted regular chicken tacos. She then told me “exactly! regular tacos come with onions, cilantro and guacamole” but with a really bad attitude (She seemed more upset then we were to be completely honest) Now I dont know if that’s true but then again it was our first time. We then let it be and went to try buying 4 more chicken tacos but they had already came out with fixing our food. So my thing is this, why come give us a huge attitude about a mistake you made and say you weren’t gonna fix it and then go and fix it?!?! Great...
