Went to a lovely classical concert this past weekend. I'd never been to this auditorium on the Main campus. Parking in Princeton is like any other popular town.... get there early and find a close parking lot! It's a relatively small and intimate theater; I believe that only the lower level is accessible for those with mobility issues.Second level is reached by a set of long flights of steps. They seem to be moving to programs that can be scanned onto your phone but they still have large print programs available for those who prefer . Attendants are very helpful. I'm told that this auditorium is mostly used for concerts rather than plays which is good because in the balcony only the 3 seat sections that are dead center have a full view on the stage. Not very important if you are there for a concert. The acoustics in this place are not to be believed!!! Almost thought I was in Vienna! superb acoustic! Can't wait...
Read moreI went to a concert by one of the greatest musicians alive, Kayhan Kalhor, and his master companions from the Silk Road ensemble, making a Doost (friend) + Trio = DoosTrio. What an emotional moment to see our cultures, from Iran to India to China, talking to one another like this, with the pure art of music. Reminiscent of golden ages when we, together, enriched each other's science, art, and philosophy. All, in this beautiful auditorium, where we sat on the stage with the musicians, becoming one in a ceremony of cross-cultural fusion. From the staff to the murals, from the architecture to the music, the experience was like living inside a...
Read moreThe Richardson Auditorium at Princeton University, is a beautiful room with superb sound quality. I was entertained here by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and if you have a chance to see the orchestra at this venue, it'll be well worth it. I've been to many concerts and theatre presentations in auditoriums all over NJ, and I must say, Richardson Auditorium has the most comfortable seats!!! Also, the Princeton campus is surrounded by many great shops and numerous restaurants. Pre-concert, I had a scrumptious dinner at Winberie's, 1 Palmer...
