I had the worst experience here. I was purchasing a tshirt and also wanted to check anprice on the mascot tiger. The older cashier rang up the tiger when I said âthis will be a separate paymentâ twice! Not once BUT TWICE! So he said $40 something and I said it again, âitâs a separate payment, my son is buying it for his sisterâ And he just gets frustrated and said âyou should have said it before I rang upâ I told him âI have said it twiceâ he said I didnât and kept telling me DONâT ARGUE WITH ME. MY 11 year old son was standing right beside me and my 5 year old was there as well. He kept giving us faces. I felt discriminated. Then he tries to ring up the tshirt only and I guess it did not work and gets frustrated again and keeps telling me I needed to tell him before ringing up and blah blah blah and I kept saying âSUR, I HAVE SAID IT TWICEâ over and over. Anyways, he asked the guy next to him for help. But tells him âyou deal with it, I canât take it anymoreâ Then I told the other guy âitâs okay, I am not going to purchase anything here because of this customer service.â I felt so violated in front of my kids. The older cashier kept saying âYouâre barking at the wrong tree, I have been a loyal employee here.â
I asked for his name several times but he refused to tell. I asked the other guy and he mumbled and said something like Edgar? Ed something. And I repeated â did you say Andrew?â Thinking I knew he gave me a different name so I canât make a complaint.
Well, Iâm not sure what kind of day he was having that day, but we were in such a good mood looking for some souvenirs for my kids.
All they could have done was say nothing and just voided the tiger doll and rang me up. Instead Mr. Grandpa cashier decided to get his frustrations out on us and argues with me. He also blamed it on customers saying I started to argue and I started to bark on the wrong tree.
Well, maybe I he barked on the wrong tree, because I will also submit it on BBB and Princeton University community boards and more.
I need an apology from him!!!!
Oh btw, the other guy was African American worker wearing black mask who gave me the wrong name couldâve stopped his fellow employee but he also defended his buddy. I mean yeah cool, heâs your buddy but why lie...
Read moreTempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis, although the U Store seems to change very little. Now in Sotomayor Hall instead of University Place, and with a satellite store over on Nassau Street, my main observation is how condensed everything is now. In a digital age, selling textbooks seems antiquated, and the clothing department where I used to buy my dress shirts for job interviews over at Clio Hall is long gone, but everything else is pretty much intact. Plus it is still a co-op and if you buy stuff, you get a little check from them at the end of the year which I always like. Also, it has not become some sort of corporate affiliated mess. Many college stores get bought out by people like Barnes & Noble. They get upscaled but they lose their soul. This place still has Princeton stamped...
Read moreIâm still trying to figure out why the staff member came to me (AA) and my goddaughter (Chinese)with a store full of people to let US know the store closed at 4pm. First of all we can read and the sign was at door as we walked in. Smh I truly think that many Caucasians in this part of country arenât use to dealing with AAâs because they are not well traveled and shallow. Seems they think we need directions even if we have Doctorates and they have a high school diploma!!! Go figure!!! The store is very nice and has a large selections of souvenirs, t-shirts etc. I took 1 star away for the ignorance that resides within the...
