The Home of 🐯 Tigers! During the summer we usually have Grand! Tours on foot. And still do. With CDC guidelines in place. Palmer Square has the best News Stand ever! Right across from the University!! So while your sightseeing. Stop by the Palmers Square News stand. This culturally universe of History. Have wheelchair accessible crossings. And have many businesses for those who love Ethic Restaurants, Prize Winning Bake goods. And A Princeton Grill to die for. And while you are exploring Nassau Pk. Don't forget to visit the many clothing boutique, Hair Shops all up and down Whitterspoon St. Which is a sister street to Nassau Pk. Sabra and Karen and the sales team are helpful, cheerful, and not pushy. I popped in on a sweltering, late August day to look for a pair of shorts and the AC was broken. It was unbearably hot, and I just couldn’t stay in the store; came back two weeks later on another warm August day and the situation was the same. Way too hot to try on clothes, especially cute little wool sweaters for fall. Everyone was sweating. It’s a bummer for me, but I can’t help wonder WHY Palmer Square would allow one of their best businesses flounder. Read moreRating is for the skating rink, since they're not here to be reviewed. It's a major safety issue. The rink itself is fine. But the condition of the rentals is preposterous. The hockey blades are literally flat (I'm a 12 which isn't the most common size). When we first arrived we thought it was funny because it was filled with kids falling all over themselves.
I rented skates, my wife had her own.
I lasted 10 minutes. I've played hockey, my wife was a competitive figure skater. You can literally run your fingers up and down the blade of the skate carelessly without cutting yourself. I exchanged my skates twice with the same result. My wife stayed on long enough to witness a roughly 10-12 year old have his skates slip out sideways and land on his knees, and have to be carried off the rink. What fun....
