Ocean State Job Lot — Attraction in Providence

I consider myself a connoisseur of Job Lots- having grown up in the Ocean State, I've been to quite a few. This is one of the biggest I've ever found!! It's my favorite yet. It's so big, and has the biggest selection of home goods, bath and body care, pet items, and food I've seen at any Job Lot.

Need some fuzzy socks for this cold snap? What about a science kit for your nephew's upcoming birthday? Oh right and your co-worker is retiring soon so you should get that card you volunteered to get for the whole office to sign. You are also running out of coffee at home... k cups? You also wanted to get a new puzzle for this weekend to mess around with while you watched a movie with the kids. Need some new readers? Oh those hand towels in the bathroom are looking a bit raggedy.

Their customer service is somewhat lacking. Every time I go there is something that never has a price on the item. Never a manager to help the cashier out with the issue. I don't go often because it always happens. Prices are good for some stuff but the whole hassle of standing there waiting for the cashier to figure out how to scan a item. It gets pretty tiring the same redundant routine.

Edit: 7/18/2024 Went there yesterday after not going in a while. Same scenario. Purchased two of the same items that clearly had stickers on them 19.99 $ .... they rang up as 24.99 $. Store was not busy at all. Cashier of course didn't call over a manager her only excuse was " I punched in the item number and that's what it came up as" with sticker and said item number on the product. Again my post from 2 years back seems clearly the same and nothing has changed here. Ended up paying more than what said on product. Why I don't go often at all. Poor...

Extremely poor customer service.6:30pm on monday feb 6th, i proceeded to exchange a product i had bought from the providence location. I had product and riecpt in hand and when i approached the counter i was greeted by the clerk with a snide look like i was being judged for my tattoos and the jordan sweatsuit with 2 gold chains i wore. He began to read receipt and told me he couldnot read the date. I pounted out the date for him and he took my riecpt to the back of store.he returned with a riecpt that was not my original riecpt. I immediately asked for a manager. The manager also was no help and when i told her what was done to me she also judged me like im a thug and took clerks side. I told them to check cams which was answered by a snide lauph.i feel extremely disrespected and will never shop at job lot again.
