The water park itself is great. Plenty of stuff for all ages to be entertained for hours. As for the reviewer who complained about "poor customer service" I say, "...Really??" First of all, I go to a water park to have fun. I don't really care if the slide attendant asks me if I had a delightful time on the water slide and if I need directions to the nearest wave pool and offer me a mint. The "Customer service" is everything it should be for a water park. This isn't a commission-based furniture sales store. It's a water park.
...Sorry, back to the review...
They have a big wave pool, lazy river, lots of water slides, and a couple of them that are "High adventure" enough to at the very least give 95% of people butterflies in their stomach. They have a couple of little-kid areas and some for a little-bit-bigger kid areas.
Their food prices are outrageous. You better expect that at this sort of establishment though.
Parking prices are also ridiculous. I do think it's absurd to charge people twice for admission to the park. It's just another 'hidden' way to stick it to you. I do loathe companies that nickel-and-dime you to death.
With that said, the 'Pass of all passes' is a great deal if you wait for the off-season discounts and buy an annual pass. An all-day pass is $25. I've seen the passes go for less than that for a year-long pass. Be smart: Buy in the winter time on a discount
My biggest complaint with them: Time to fix the "changing room" already. Really -- nobody wants to see that. After talking with my wife about it for the women's facilities, here's what you're getting:
The layouts sound similar for the men and women's changing room. A restroom with another room off the side that's a little smaller than my living room. Benches make a square in the room. There are 5 toilet stalls along the side with doors.
For the women:
No adult uses the benches. Everyone apparently escapes to the stalls where there may or may not be a hook on the door to hang something on. They have to try to change their clothes in a 3-foot square space and not touch the toilet or stand on the ground with bare feet. There's nowhere to place anything besides the one hook which may or may not be there, or the toilet, which in reality is not (should not) be an option. The benches are used to change little kids. Oh, and if you have kids, that just complicates it further.
This practice of avoiding group nudity (unlike the men) probably stems from whatever reason keeps the girls showers in high school apparently un-used after gym class. And really, at least the women do have a more acute (and appropriate) aversion to the idea group nudity than the men do.
For the men:
Same set-up as the women's facilities (again, judging from my wife's description...). The difference here is that you'll walk in the room of benches and likely see a few naked butts and otherwise. While the men are apparently not as averse to group nudity, I'm guessing that 98% of them still would really rather not. And it's the other 2% that worry me too.
How about this brilliant idea: Stalls. Meant for changing clothes. Bigger than 3' x 3' of usable space, or at least no toilet to have to avoid. A shelf. A bench. A couple of hooks. And a door so 10 year old grandson doesn't have to be traumatized by dad and grandpa dropping their drawers.
Yes, yes, I know that for some reason this is common practice for changing rooms. I for one don't care to see room full of awkward ugly naked people as part of the water-park...

this park was fun but there is a lot that needs to be done.
Excessive fees. Yuck! You will spend roughly 45 dollars. 27 dollars for entrance fee. 10 dollars for parking, and 6 for a tub. YUCK...
Slipping on glass. We kept finding glass on the cement. That is a hazard and very frustrating. Walking barefoot can be hazardous especially when there is glass. But why is there glass on the cement?
Cost of tubs. WTF? 🤔The cost of tubs is 6 dollars. We did not know that. But now you do! Here is what happened; most rides require a tub or a mat. Some of the mat rides do not require a mat and you can go down just yourself. But we did not know that until you are half way up the stairs. So we go to get tubs with cash and the kid radios for change. The manager radios back stating they do not take cash. So we spent 30 minutes walking around trying to find a place to take cash until we learned they do not take cash only card. Yuck. How come that was not informed at the entrance verbally? TRAIN YOUR STAFF! here you go, I'll help you. " Good morning welcome to slash summit" is this your first time? No? Here is what you will need... Tubs... Food...cabana...etc" TRAIN YOUR STAFF.
Parking. Why am I paying for parking? It is 10 dollars for parking in the upper section. there is an upper and lower Parking to park at. But DO NOT PARK AT THE CHURCH. It is right above the upper parking. Your car will be towed.
Slippery cement. There was slippery cement everywhere. It is not just water but it felt slick.
Training staff. Please train your staff. A lot of your staff do not know what is going. Where is the first aid? Where do I buy tubs? Do I need cash? Direct traffic going to different lines for the slides.
The signs at the park suck. We get half way up the stairs and we realize that some slides that use mats don't need a mat and you can go down without a mat. That would have been nice to know that before climbing all those steps.
No outside food. What the heck... Again train your staff. That would have been nice to know before we brought our lunch. Water bottles is ok. So hide your food in your water bottles! 🤣 Other people posted that they paid 40 dollars for burgers. Yuck.
America first. One plus is that you can get discounts with America first. Look at pictures! READ THE SIGNS.
The Cabana. I recommend you DON'T do that. Go early, find shade and table. The lower cabana cost 150. That is the cheapest. So you are looking at almost 200 dollars for a day off fun... Is it worth it? 🤔 I'll...
Read moreThis place should not even be open!! I wanted to love it, despite the recent reviews, but it was not even worth the $15.99 a person we spent to get in :( The kiddie area was not operational. One of the kiddie pools was empty and they were power washing the coating off of the bottom. The other had green water in it. Props to the facility for posting lifeguards at the area to prevent a kid wandering there and falling in though. The lazy river was open, but not operating. We asked the lifeguard if it was "on" and he said, "it's just slow today". Half way around (walking because there was no current, we saw the pump and motor and valves all rusted and crusty sitting on the side of the river in front of the pump shed. That explains that! There were a few of the slides open, the cave one with the tube was fun, yet the blue and green ones that don't require tubes weren't fully operational. There are big water tanks at the start that are supposed to fill with water and then release the gush to propel you down. They don't! They aren't even being used. My hubby and I both had to scoot ourselves out of the end. Props to the wave pool functioning. It was the only attraction that is working. Which explains why that is where everyone is at. In my opinion, it should have remained closed this year. All the maintenance and upgrades should be completed and THEN OPEN NEXT YEAR!!! Other than last year, I have been every year for almost 10 years. I will probably never go back now:( So disappointing to charge to get in to the place and 90% of it isn't even operational. Now I know why there were probably only a hundred people there on a Saturday. The most disappointing part is that I talked my 2 brothers and there families into going here instead of Lagoon because it was cheaper and has always been so fun for my family - NOT THIS TIME! It was their first times there, not a good first impression :( Oh, and PLEASE get the food service department some adult supervision. Considering every employee there was like 15 it's amazing we even ever got our food. With a little adult support maybe we could have been served our cheeseburger and chicken strips in less than a half hour. (That's after the order was placed - not including the 15 minutes to...
