Small, well kept, and nestled into the neighborhood, this is a fantastic park for people who would prefer a large lawn or garden. The playset is small, with 2 slides and a pair of baby-only swings. Clean, but too hot to use in the sun. Designed for babies, and simultaneously inserted into a neighborhood, almost asking to be used unattended. No restrooms, no pavilions, memorials abound and there is plenty of sitting space and a walking path that crosses the street twice. Oh yeah, a street cuts through the center of the park. A street with no wheelchair accessible ramps or dips in the curb. The park is easy to get to, but like most parks, it is not close to a store or restaurant, or anything else useful, unless you happen to live in one of the homes that call it their front lawn. No matter how clean cut and apparently beautiful this park may be, its identity and purpose remain a mystery, even to itself.

There's a 2-4 year old park there! So cute! I ran there from my apartment just south of BYU campus, took me around 18 minutes, it'd be a decent jaunt if I were walking my child. There's a Pokegym there, and paths throughout for walking. Lots of lawn and green, and flowers. Altogether very pretty, and perfect for bringing kids who have energy to burn. :)

We absolutely love this park. It is relatively small, flat, there are an appropriate amount of trees. You could play soccer, frisbee, or football; anything requiring a large field, but you could also relax in a hammock (what we did). There isn't really a parking lot, but we have never seen enough people to necessitate one. We will be returning!!!

Shortly after my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I found myself taking liking to a girl. We will call her Kadyn, mostly because that is her actual name. I felt it was too early into my 20's to get into something serious, and I was excited about the idea of dating and meeting many people to find my type. I ended things after just a few weeks of dating. She has since been married. Anyways, that is another story, I do tend to get away from myself when I, well, reminisce.

Anyways, Kadyn and I ran through the sprinklers at this here park. They call is "Memorial Park" because of the memorial there. I don't recall what it is meant to memorialize. I read it once with Kadyn, and pretended to be very interested in the memorial. now I just call it an obelisk and play some quite intense spikeball there. The spikeball scene is getting very serious in provo, but just as anything else it will phase out in the next two years.

Anyways, enjoy the park. There is a nice map of the world the kids can play on. I try to let the kids have their space there though I would love to spend more time seeing the world.

I hope all is well Kadyn. Remember those sprinklers next time you drive by the park,...

The park was pretty, but the "dog park" leaves something to be desired. I grew up in this area so I thought "this will be awesome! I'm visiting since moving away and I'll take my pups to play for a minute between clients so they can stretch their legs." Immediately I notice that it is not that kind of dog park. It's a 'just walk on a leash park'. The people are not friendly and expect to be the only people there with dogs.

So if you are expecting to allow your dog to play with other dogs or to run and fetch this is not the park for you. If you want a leisurely stroll with an old dog on a lazy Sunday afternoon this...
