I am retired and on limited income, but I gave my daughter $90 dollars to buy tickets for her family of four and individual tickets for the wife and I. Thought it sound fun to do with my grandkids. What a joke! No hay ride as advertised, was there three hours and saw one guy with a guitar (just talking to women) sitting on hay bales. Never heard him sing or engage people in sing along. Never heard any music, never heard any bluegrass! Cider press was a big joke. Had to ask the guy to show the kids how it's make and explain it to them. He dropped one apple in press, turned the crank and ground the apple. Didn't show how to press it or collect juice or let the kids try or be involved. Four vender tents selling items, (not related to Oregon trail or historic), four tents asking for donations for other groups. Three apple related items for purchase at snack shack. Experience the Oregon trail game a bad joke! Five tents, explained very little to people, spin the wheel ok you died and stamp the kids passport. Even wanted their cheap paper wagons back. Mansion tour was just people wandering through the building reading the signs. No one explained things and how families lived in the 1800s. Scavenger hunt was nothing also, big prize, kids got a rubber duck. I feel I wasted my money and the website misrepresented the event. Will not be...
Read moreMeeker Mansion is a must see if you are in the Puyallup area! I love and enjoy museums like this because you really get a feeling of how it was living during a certain time period.

The museum employee had mentioned that it had been posted a day prior on FB but not everyone uses these social platforms. I hope for the future they will also cancel out days on their calender for private events on their main website. If you are planning to go between Wed-Sun, make sure to give them a ring before going to avoid any...

Highly recommend visiting if you enjoy history, preservation and architecture. Hours are limited so check before you go. They also have several celebratory events every year and a fantastic holiday season in...
