Pioneer Park is one of those go-to places for every and any occasion you might have in your life or your family's life. We have been coming here for the past 15 years throughout our child's upbringing. Ever since she was a baby crawling on the grass up until now that she's 15 for her 9th grade dance pictures for the beautiful backdrop. You can come here for the library right here, Farmers Market on Saturday or the concerts in the park on Thursday night or the children's playground any day of the week or in the summertime the spray park for kids and toddlers to cool down. And then you can go to one of several restaurants that are within walking distance here if you are hungry after your enjoyment of the park. There is so much to do for everyone here it's a well-loved and well cherished Park. It's too with all the artwork, the rose gardens and the beautifully manicured landscaping and very old trees. There's even a Veterans Memorial here with benches where you can sit end enjoy. Pioneer Pavilion is also here where several events are held throughout the year and is available for rental for conferences or...
Read moreI have been bringing my daughter here for years. She always has a ton of fun. Great place to take the kids. Nice size playground. The playground has two larger sized tube slides, one medium slide, and one small slide, monkey bars and multiple ways to climb to the top. The smaller slide is attached to a playset fit for younger children. The other three slides are attached to a larger playset good for bigger kids. Awesome perks for someone (like me) with kids over 5 years apart. Of course their safety is my number one priority- having playsets that are fitting to both of my children and on the same playground makes it much easier to keep an eye on them. When summertime comes around on the northern side of the playsets they have a water spray play. All located right next door to the library. A convenient way to educate and play. Well Kept park, lots of benches, some picnic tables, and a stage-prior to covid they occasionally host a variety of different events here. I know my family and I will...
Read morePioneer Park is the crown jewel in the city. The property was donated by Ezra Meeker and was the site of his family homestead.
Surrounding the park is the Pavilion, which is a beautiful and rentable event location.
The public library is also on the property. The current library is the third library built in the city. The first library was built with a grant from the Carnegie Foundation. Inside the library is beautiful with a space for children to play and there are plans for a teen center. The librarians are very helpful.
The open-aired stage is where "Concerts in the Park" are held in the summer.
For kids, there is standard playground equipment, and in the summer, a super nice spray park that was built with the help of the Downtown Puyallup Kiwanas club.
The best for last is the Farmers Market, which is open on Saturdays from approximately April through September. This is one of the top farmers markets in the state and is run by Puyallup Downtown...
