¡Hola amigos! I am thrilled to share my delightful experience at the enchanting Mexican paradise that is this local favorite restaurant. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and vibrant colors that transported me to the heart of Mexico. Let's start with the star of the show: the enchiladas. Oh, what a masterpiece! Tender tortillas lovingly wrapped around succulent, slow-cooked meats, smothered in a tantalizing sauce bursting with authentic flavors. Each bite was like a fireworks display in my mouth, exploding with the perfect balance of spices and textures. The cheese melted into gooey perfection, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that left some of us longing for more. Next up, the chimichangas. These golden parcels of joy were the epitome of crispy deliciousness. With a satisfying crunch on the outside and a luscious, savory filling within, I couldn't help but swoon with every bite. The meats were tender and juicy, complemented by a medley of vibrant vegetables and aromatic spices. Each chimichanga was a culinary work of art, a fiesta of flavors that danced on my taste buds with every glorious mouthful. And how could I forget the burritos? These substantial bundles of joy were a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. Bursting at the seams with a symphony of ingredients, each burrito was a treasure trove of Mexican goodness. The tortillas were pillowy soft, hugging the robust fillings of perfectly seasoned meats, creamy beans, zesty salsa, and fresh guacamole. With every bite, I could taste the passion and love that went into creating these heavenly creations. In addition to the extraordinary dishes, the atmosphere of the restaurant was a celebration of Mexican culture. The lively music, colorful decor, and warm hospitality made me feel like an honored guest at a traditional fiesta. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who ensured that every need was met. I wholeheartedly recommend this extraordinary Mexican gem to anyone seeking an authentic culinary adventure. Prepare to be transported to the sun-kissed streets of Mexico, where each bite is a fiesta of flavors. Whether you're craving enchiladas that will make your taste buds dance, chimichangas that will ignite your senses, or burritos that will leave you craving more, this restaurant is the place to be. ¡Buen provecho!

I'll start by saying the staff was amazing and very attentive. The food and salsa though was terrible. The salsa tasted less flavorful than something from Safeway's select line. The flautas I got were burnt and the chicken was extremely dry (see photo). The flavor of those was less than gas station crispitos. I can't knock the pricing for the small serving size and infusion, but it was less than what you'd get nearly anywhere else. This is my second chance with this place. Both times were underwhelming. Maybe I just know better since the East side of Tacoma has many authentic places and at the very least has flavorful salsa at nearly every place. I'm sorry for the bad review, I really just want people to know what they're getting here for their money. Edit: previous review for places that are ten minutes from this restaurant that are better -I personally like El Taco Bus best for fresh. Taco Guyamas for a really satisfying flavor that's usually cooked well and doesn't feel as heavy but also having the best salsa's, at least before covid. So, to each their own, but Los Tamales is very unique and stacks high in some regards to the rest around here. And these right here all within distance of each other I mentioned are likely the best around possibly including Antojo's. I've eaten at many places around town the other places down 72nd just aren't as good in my opinion

Very disappointed with what they call a chimichanga... More like an open burrito... Anyone who's experienced grilled or fried chimichanga's knows what to expect. I got a grilled one with ground beef and the usual filings. What I got was a super greasy soft wrap folded into a square with a tiny amount of beef. My fillings were left outside the shell?! Once I got home I literally had to scrape the meat out and grill my own wraps and cook extra meat...

My husband and I have enjoyed going here for years, but we will no long be giving them our business.

I called last Wednesday to get a quote and to discuss our options for them to cater my son's birthday party. I was told by the lovely woman on the phone that I would be contact either that night or the next day by the catering Manger Christina. By Friday, I haven't gotten anything, so I called back and spoke with Juan, another manager, who was very friendly and as helpful as he could be. I was informed that Christina went out of town and she was the only one who could assist me with the order. I then waited the holiday weekend and gave a couple of days for her to return to work. I called today, Thursday June 3rd, and spoke to the kind woman at reception again. She informed me she gave all my information to Christna and that she would speak with her again today and I should receive a phone call regarding weather she would want to do the order or not. It is now 8pm, and I still have gotten nothing from Christina. She has single handedly put a bad taste in our mouths for Mazatlan in Downtown Puyallup. The lack of customer service and regard for business she has shown ruins our...
