It's a really neat place to go! It caught my eye many times crossing the river, it was such a delight to be able to find Villa Katherine is open to the public! Even more fantastic the history is available too! Every place has a story but rarely can one get to read it. Read moreI knew of this place when I was younger, about 12. My dad worked for the Park District and it was not occupied at that time. Bout 36 yrs ago. Some friends and I, snuck in. Well I took my daughter shes 29. I glanced over while driving n saw it fixed up. They turned it into Quincy visitor center. We wanted to do a walk through but they had about 30 min before closing. It was interesting to see, I'll have to come back when the power is back to do the full tour! The visitor center section had some driving maps, I'd recommend the Mid Mod driving map tour.
