So I travel OTR and I stay in a hotel at least twice a week. So when a particular hotel gets it right or wrong at the higher level, I leave a review. I'm currently at The Heritage Hotel and it's 2 in the am. That's how committed I am to leaving this place a review. Reason why?? THEY GOT IT RIGHT!! Let me start by saying that I'm pretty sure they went under some renovations recently and the rooms LOOK SPECTACULAR!! I booked a double bed on Expedia. The value is UNMATCHED!! They could've easily been over $100 bucks for the night. My bed was super comfortable, plenty of room amenities, nice hot shower and super quiet! Let me tell you, Quincy you guys have a nice gem over here at Heritage! And it shows that whoever the owner/s are, are serious about their investment! I love that. I've stayed at other hotels in Quincy and they aren't even close to the quality over here. With good marketing and word of mouth, this place will stayed booked. So many places get it wrong but Heritage got it right! In closing, I really want to express my satisfaction in the appearance and presentation on this lovely hotel. I've stayed at some real dumpster fire of hotels so I genuinely appreciate when good ppl invest the time and money into their dreams. Those are the ppl who deserve your hard earned money and patronage. Because in the culture of mediocrity, high prices and poor service, it's refreshing to come across a business entity of whatever industry that take pride and care in their investment. So please, stop scrolling and go ahead and book here at The Heritage! And tell them BigBen from STL sent...

Got the ADA room and was mostly okay with it (I never turn down a walk-in shower), but was put off by the fact that there was nowhere to hang clothing and nowhere to place toiletries in the bathroom. Luckily I didn't need to hang anything, but this would have been a problem if I'd brought dress clothes. As for where to put toiletries, I ended up placing the portable shower seat next to the sink and using that surface. Hopefully the seat had been cleaned sometime between someone having their bare butt in it and me using it as a shelf. For the life of me I can't figure out why people design hotel rooms without bothering to know if they'll actually work for staying in. I also wasn't thrilled with the "breakfast" on offer. Engineered "omelet" and packaged, processed junk is NOT breakfast. There was absolutely nothing healthy on offer other than fruit - which was the stuff the grocery store didn't want. The good things about the hotel include staff truly striving to satisfy the customer, a clean room (including the carpet), a location within walking distance of many of Quincy's major attractions, and plenty of parking. But the parking lot itself badly needs repaving (it poured one afternoon and my feet and shoes were soaked because of the rivers running through the parking lot). In any event, there are some improvements that could be made, but I enjoyed my stay overall and would put the hotel on my list of places to stay should I return to the area...
Read moreThis is was my first time staying here since they have opened, and I will admit I was skeptical at first. I knew this place had been shut down and run down for a good long while (formerly the eagles nest I believe) but I will admit that I was surprised about how nice it is. It's not overly fancy or super flashy, but its nice...in a small town comfort kind of way. the room had a big bed that was comfortable, and the pillows were actually worth calling pillows. Normally they are weak and thin and just puffed up. but here they actually worked as real pillows. First hotel I have slept at that I actually slept through the night. That's high praise coming from someone like me, who dislikes hotels. Breakfast was small and simple, but filling none the less. Coffee was on point...gotta point that out, it was just burnt bean water. The one staff member I interacted with was a lovely lady, wish I could recall her name. But she greeted me with a smile and talked to me like I was a regular. when I forgot my card to get back in, she let me in and I apologized and she smiled big and told me it was no issues and even got me another room key without having to ask me what room I was in, because she remembered me, or my face, either way lol. I would definitely stay here again, and I look forward to seeing...
