This is all we saw of the Quitman Brooks County Museum (a display off to the right of the museum), because even though they have 2 ramps going up to both a front and side door, they have 1 step up at the end of the ramp at the front door, and 3 steps up at the the side door ramp to go up into the museum. So... Don't even bother of you are wheelchair bound! It's a shame that our heritage vacation to specifically visit Pavo and Quitman GA was not complete due to a lack of handicap accessibility into the Museum. I personally was able to walk inside to inquire about accessibility, while I left my 81 yr old mother outside in her wheelchair, and it looked like it would have been fascinating; however, we will NEVER know since you have no handicap accessibility. Shame on you for not thinking about people with disabilities!

This is a great little museum full of things from the past! There was much more than we expected there to be. We were in the area, and this is a great little stop for homeschool or just curiosity! The only thing I would change is maybe someone offering some information to incoming tourists. We sort of just looked around and left. Past that it was really a great experience! They have a little of everything!

When visit this very small, but interesting historic preservation museum, you will have a blast with fun stories and very uncommon artifacts. The museum curator has an incredible amount of knowledge and loves to share information! Stop by and get a kick out of small town history.

I was not allowed to enter the museum as I am in a wheelchair. Even though the museum has two ramps, when you get to the entryway there are steps that have to be navigated. A person in a wheelchair is denied entry because of the steps. I really wanted very much to see what the museum had to offer but I guess they really don’t care about the truly...
