We Make T-Shirts - Custom T-Shirt Printing and Embroidery Shop — Attraction in Racine

Called on Tuesday morning to see if we could get 3 last minute tshirts made for an event this weekend. I had seen in their pricing that they can turn around orders quickly so I was hopeful. I wanted to shop local, and since I had seen the owner out and about several times over the years performing his music, he was friendly and spreading the word also about this shop, I thought "what better way to keep money in your community" so I reached out to We Make T-Shirts.

Tuesday morning I called, the man I spoke to said yes they could have the order ready by Friday no problem and he said to email him the design, tshirts color, sizes, etc and he would call me back with a quote since there was probably going to be a design alteration charge. Within 30 mins or so I utilized the tshirts design tool on the website (which is very user friendly and a great aspect to the website) and I called as soon as it sent to make sure it got to them. The man on the phone said he got the quote request and would call me back shortly with a quote. End of the day came and went and no response. The next morning I call and leave a detailed message following up with them. I said in my message if you guys can't do it or were not interested in doing it, it's fine I just want to know asap so I have time to contact some other places. I told them I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt in case they had an emergency or something the previous day that prevented them from contacting me.

I get called back immediately by someone without them having listened to the message and I explain myself again, the man said that the guy who does the quotes stepped out but that he would make sure that someone would call me back by the end of the day and asked if that was acceptable. I said yes as long as they could still do it. I was assured again they could and that they would be back to me. The end of the day came and went and that was Wednesday, and I still have not heard from them. (It's Saturday morning).

it would have been nice to at least been given the opportunity to shop around for another store that could have potentially filled the order or order from the internet. All that needed to be done was a phone call stating they couldn't or didn't want to do it. I waited until Thursday because I wanted to give a local business/artist my money before I went to a bigger company or had to try to do it ourselves (which we ended up doing). I also wanted to give them a chance to come through. I'm shocked and disappointed at the severe lack of customer service and the stress and rush we had to go through to get our shirts done in 24 hours because we thought for sure We Make Tshirts would come through for us. It was also embarrassing because I convinced the other people I was ordering tshirts with that this was THE place to go, and that Rizzo is very into his business so we couldn't go wrong with using them. Looks like I was very wrong.

Review update: nothing will keep my dollar returning like humility. Besides providing unparalleled quality, Jon is not one to shy away from ownership of any hiccups that can occur along the way. Professionalism is beyond the bar from any other printer I have worked with.

Review change: while I was expecting at least 5 star communication, it has been a full week since I placed an order for a single print to order shirt. No email as to status, no communication saying hey we are busy with other orders and no one answering the phone.

Quality merchandise with an efficient turn around. Customer service is top notch with competitive prices. Best place in South Eastern Wisconsin for custom merchandise. I won't go...

I just went in here to have a custom embroidery job done. Was greeted by someone who told me that anything I needed had to be done across email even though there is no way for me to describe what I need done in an email. I do not recommend this place because when you're getting custom work done it's always nice to be able to talk to a human being about what's being done. The stoic and inflexible attitude of the individual that I talk to will keep me from recommending this place or ever coming here for anything ever again. There are literally five or six shops in Racine that do embroidery, and I can't imagine my experience with any of them will be worse than this. My recommendation to this company is to grow up and learn how to talk...
