Doobies Beer Joint & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Racine

Crowd can be hit or miss. The young kids can get in and things get wild (Security was friendly and did a great job making his presence felt without being overbearing or intrusive). Food was good, service for the food was great. Ordering a drink was... difficult. Bar tender wanted to talk and chug water over taking orders, tending only a couple people at either end of the bar instead of going through and serving people waiting for drinks based on who was there waiting first like most bars. (It seemed like theyd pass walk ups and ask people seated there before checking in with people who walked up) that is really my only issue with that place. This review is based on a pickup order I placed. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich with a side of cheese curds and was told it would be about 15 to 20 minutes and when I arrived I was told that the sandwich was done but they were still waiting on the Curds so after sitting for a while I decided to play a game of pac-man which afterwards I seen a lady come from the kitchen with what I thought to be my order but it was not and after the confusion was figured out I came to find that the bag of food sitting behind the bar that I noticed when I arrived and thought was mine was indeed mine and was only getting colder by the minute so while I did enjoy the food when I got home which is not far away at all I think it would have tasted better if it was still hot which it was not and had to be reheated and that is the reason for the...

Honestly, I've been here before and the bar was fine, they sold my favorite beer, the bartender was nice, and the service was quick. I probably will never step foot in the bar again due to their softball team. Something that is supposed to help the bar by advertising seems to be their biggest downfall. The men on the team were insufferable to listen to. The entire game they were shouting obscenities and complaining to the umpire. They ended up winning the game but that did not stop them from taking out drunken frustration on the ump and other team. If these are the type of people who go to this bar, then I will gladly spend my money...
