I had a breast reduction with Dr. Hughes almost a year ago, and it truly changed my life!
I am 22 and I had been thinking about having this procedure since 5th grade. I have always had back pain and trouble breathing because of the weight on my chest. It was so frustrating trying to find clothes that fit right, and I was tired of buying clothes sometimes 3 sizes too big because of my chest. When I was 18 I started researching the best place to go. I was so nervous and I had so many questions, but I never felt comfortable enough to ask them at consultations. When I was referred to Dr. Hughes I was very nervous because of past experiences. When I got there all of my worries were put to rest. I am the type of person that wants to know everything that could go wrong. He was the only doctor to talk me through any unlikely complications. But with everything that could have gone wrong, he offered a solution. I felt like I was heard, and that truly meant so much to me. He walked me through the procedure and what would happen on the day of. I felt no pressure whatsoever, Dr. Hughes and Nurse Lynn were so genuine, it was truly the best experience. I left feeling so excited about the surgery!
The day of the surgery I felt more prepared and ready than I thought I ever would. The staff at Synergy made me feel incredibly welcomed and relaxed. Dr. Hughes and Nurse Lynn walked me through the procedure one last time to ensure that I knew everything that was going to happen. What I liked the most was Synergy has an operating room in the office! I was able to do everything at Synergy, and that made everything feel way less scary. I got to walk into the operating room when I was ready and meet everyone who was involved in the procedure. Every single person welcomed me with a smile and introduced themselves. I cannot stress enough how much this experience meant to me.
Dr. Hughes and his team at Synergy have made such a huge impact on my life. I never would have thought that surgery could be easy, but at Synergy you are truly heard and they really do want the best for you. I want to thank Dr. Hughes and everyone at Synergy for changing my life. If you are thinking about plastic surgery, Dr. Hughes is one of the most talented, compassionate, and attentive surgeons. His attention to detail is hard to come by and it shows through his work. The passion that he shares made it a very easy decision to...
Read moreMy decision to go to Synergy and listen to the advice of their top nurse has literally ruined my skin. Close to two years ago, after extensive research, I chose Synergy after everything I read about them. I had a consultation to treat tiny 1/4 inch sections of melasma under each of my eyes. I chose to do this for my 40th birthday and make the "investment in my skin". Well, long story short, this nurse used a laser that is KNOWN to aggravate melasma and after about 3 weeks, my problem worsened 150%. After multiple treatments and months of trying to trust in Synergy actually correcting this damage, I am now left with permanent damage. I have hyperpigmentation on over half of my face, uneven and damaged texture (orange peel skin....research botched laser treatments and it's my skin exactly) and highly reactive, sensitized skin. And the worst part of the whole story is Synergy does not care. Their affiliated doctor was kind enough to perform some treatments, but sadly they worsened the condition. Any attempts I've made to get further corrections have gone completely unanswered. This has left me zero confidence in the facility's skill, knowledge and customer service. I am writing this now with hopes that it may stop another woman dealing with hormonal hyperpigmentation from making this same mistake I made. It is now summer, and my condition is literally worsening by the day and I'm left with a constant reminder of this terrible decision that I made to trust Synergy. Please be careful, please do further research, please do not want to get rid of the problem so badly that you'll fall for uninformed providers. Every single doctor that I have seen since this happened (including their doctor) has said IPL lasers are known to worsen melasma and are not recommended. I have worked in skincare for over a decade and truly thought this was a top notch facility. They certainly have a beautiful environment and can "sell" their services, but the bottom line is, if they mess you up, they don't have the skill or desire to correct you. Please don't...
Read moreI can not say enough wonderful things about the staff at Collin’s Plastic Surgery. From my consultation with Dr. Collins to scheduling my surgery date to the surgery itself-it was effortless for something that can be quite intimidating & scary. His staff was amazing from start to finish. His nurses were some of the best. I felt really comfortable and at ease throughout everything. I have had a long battle with autoimmune disease which has greatly affected the laxity in my breast skin/tissue as well as it has caused fluctuations in my weight over the years. Nothing drastic but on a 5”2 frame, 5-8 lbs (in the wrong areas) shows. Over the years, my breasts and stomach would gain weight, my arms as well, leading to me not feeling comfortable in my own skin, especially certain clothes which really makes a difference when you teach fitness several times a week and have to wear tight garments. Dr. Collins is a doctor that did not look at me like I was silly for wanting these areas addressed, and also did not tell me I had to have an implant. I had enough breast tissue, I just wanted a breast lift. I loved that he valued my active lifestyle and really listened to what I wanted. I think some doctors would have thought I was crazy or recommended a very small implant, explaining once the swelling went down I might not like the results...but i love them! When you see your body changing, especially as a woman in her 30’s struggling with hormonal issues- it was so nice to have someone that took my concerns seriously. And guess what, I have NOT had kids yet and NO-i did not want to wait to get my breasts lifted or have these stubborn areas of fat addressed. Plastic surgery is not just for celebrities or moms for which it is often marketed towards. If you have gained weight/lost weight, have struggled with hormonal issues, or just need some extra help even when you work out and eat healthy-I HIGHLY suggest you make a consultation with Dr. Collins. He is down to earth, a true artist & one of a kind. Thanks to his...
