'22/10 1st review, but have attended a handful of art shows over the past 5 years they've been open: -- Easy to find/access, as it's the large, 2-story, historic Mills Station building at the name sake light rail station at Mather Field Rd x Folsom Blvd. -- Plenty of parking & shade in the large lot shared with a steady stream of light rail customers/commuters/students. -- Check The MACC (Mills Arts & Culture Center) webpage for days/times open as they vary show by show and event by event. That said, the typical show runs about three weeks, and is open for viewing Thurs - Fri 3p-7p, and Sat 11a - 8p. -- I recommend catching a Show's Opening night (typically a Thursday), as the fanfare creates quite a buzz--cafe lights & bistro tables outside, fresh water & lemonade plus finger foods inside, along with live musicians, and an occassional show's artist as well. A make-shift, for-purchase bar is setup inside for the first night. Seven year old grandson, hubby, and I had a blast at How Sweet It Is show's opening night. -- Upstairs, is the restrooms, self-checkout art library book shelves, stay-n-read chairs/books, and a prominant, local artist's gallery...also likely on hand on opening night. There is an elevator (at entrance/center of building) as well. Our grandson ensured we gave it a test ride...it runs very smooth/quiet, plenty of room. -- All is FREE, unless one wants to imbibe in the opening night alcoholic beverages offered, or buy a piece of art. A wonderful way to wind down after a long day at work, or to take the gradeschooler to impress some art & culture, plus pick up a free, self-checkout/return (honor system) art book--quite the collection on several half bookshelves at the top of the stairs. -- All is VERY well laid out. A lot of thought and preparation goes into the presentation of the show pieces displayed individually and collectively with the u-shaped gallery downstairs and open floor, rectangular upstairs exhibits. -- Besides the ongoing show, The MACC puts on sub-shows/events randomly throughout any given month that range from age specific to all ages. Some cost money and some don't. Once again, go to The MACC website...
