I live in the area so this is my community dog park. I was so excited when this dog park was finally completed. I am grateful for it, but I also feel like the design of the park was really with the dogs in mind.

There is literally no shade. Even the awning over the benches has paw shaped holes in it. It will take years for the trees that are there to mature. Considering it gets so hot in our area I really don’t understand why they did not include more shade in this park.

Also, there is always dog poop around. Now you could say this is the fault of the people that take their dogs there. But I think it also has to do with the cities upkeep of the park. Don’t get me wrong there’s no trash around. But there’s just so much dog poop inside the park.

There are also no bathrooms at this dog park the next comparable dog park to this is the Dairyland dog park in Eastvale. It’s very shaded (on the small dog side) and there is a bathroom and there’s lights at night.

That’s one more critique I have for this dog park is that there are no lights at night. Although the street lights at enough light. Another plus that I would give for the park is that the water fountains are always working. And when it was leaking, they took care of it right away.

Hopefully, in years to come, they will consider adding more shade so the dog park is more dog and people friendly.

Also the hours of the dog park are late…you could take your dog there at sunrise if you wanted too. Another aspect of this park that is not...

So I go to this dog park pretty much every other day and Its pretty nice.

Pro: a ton of people go, so your dog can interact with a variety of dogs

Decent size, I can play fetch with all the dogs without worry about hitting anyone or anything

Most owners are fun/ good people: I have met a ton of fantastic people

Easy to get to and has fun equipment available like ramps and weave poles

Cons: water dispenser are starting to break already. They barely dispense water anymore in the little dog park side and works only okay in the large dog side not sure what's going on.

Lack of restrooms for owners

Lack of shade

Sometimes picky owners (going to happen everywhere) here. At this park there are people who stay for hours and are always complaining about other people dogs (sometimes pretty rudely) especially if your dog isn't a breed they like or if your dog is high energy. I usually just stay away best not ruin my day over some people being annoying. They stay in their corner i stay in mine sort of thing.

I know of a few dogs who have gotten sick with parvo, the owners blame this park not 100 percent sure but have to mention it.

Xsmall dogs like 6 pounds or less are able to squeeze out of the service door. Has happened about 5 times since I started coming and is always a pain to help the owner get...

I come here here with my boxer puppy and my 10 year old son often. Usually my dog is safe because most owners will be aware of their dogs if they're aggressive. Today we were entering the first gate of the park for big dogs and 3 dogs rushed mine and tackled him angrily. Their owners did nothing and my son stood there watching traumatized as I tried to pull the 3 dogs off of mine as my puppy was screaming and crying. This was the first real incident that could have resulted in injuries as well as a lawsuit. I have never witnessed any dog owner who just allowed their dogs to act in such a vicious manner towards another being. They watched and let their dogs attack mine and now I have bruises and bleeding from having to tear them away from my frightened dog. Disgusting treatment and disrespect as a person and a dog owner should not be allowed here and honestly my son, dog and I will most likely never return here after seeing the disregard for another dog. The dogs who attacked my dog were 2 pitbull/boxer mixes and the third was an Australian shepherd. Watch your dogs and make sure you know everyone else is watching theirs too or else this could happen and it could be a worse outcome than what we...

Sadly downgrade to Etiwanda dog park that was closed for this to open. It's next to very bust street (baseline) and they should have built tall fence to block it out. A lot of fencing, feels like in a prison. Smaller than expected. Probably because of the 3 park design, interesting concept (big dog-mixed dog-small dog). The small dog park is bigger than you typically find which is a plus if you have a smaller dog. The lighting is all turned off at night, very dark no reason for lights to go out. Majority of benches no shade I give it two stars one for being a dog park that is needed and one for the smaller dog park being larger than most. For how much money they said they invested it didn't actually go to the dog park sadly.

We used to live in Rancho Cucamonga, we were visiting family and decided to stop by Etiwanda park and saw it was closed down. To our surprise, we looked it up why the Etiwanda park closed and soon realized on the city website that a new park was built. We were obviously sad that Etiwanda park was closed down but the new park here is amazing, It’s so modern and clean. Specifically, the large dog has two dog water fountains and more seating compared to the old park which is great. The park also has a medium and small dog park which is good for all. WOLFIE loved it! I would recommend it, I know we were in love with Etiwanda but this park is amazing!
