Paul Bunyan Forest Camp — Attraction in Redding

We LOVE Turtle Bay and the Paul Bunyan Forest Camp. There is a playground made for probably 4+ year olds, very tall climbing structure with a slide, a fun water feature that teaches a little about water flow, and all the animals they have in captivity for people to see and kids to learn about. The animal show they do at noon throughout the summer is also a favorite of ours! Getting a membership was an amazing investment and we go multiple times a week with our 5 year old son, been taking him since he was 4, and he loves to lead us through every exhibit and habitat and tell us the name of every animal there. had a great time with the kids. The playground was just the antidote to being stuck inside for so long during Corona. It felt clean and outside space. One star off for the number of people who didn't wear masks. We avoided them like, well, the plague, and proceeded to have a good time. Fun playgrounds for kids. There is a fun little zip line for kids and adults. They have an animal show maybe every day. It would be nice if the schedule was easier to find and if the staff would remind you about it when you check in. You can also walk through and see the animals when there isn't a show. It is a nice place for kids to be outside. And lots of benches...
