La vita é una bella lottaLa vita é una bella lotta
I was so excited to try this place as I heard it was a cute ritzy spot. My husband and I traveled almost two hours to see the sundial bridge and to try the Mosaic. I WAS SO DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE. IT TOOK FOREVER TO ORDER THE WAITRESS WAS KIND, BUT KEPT FORGETTING EVERYTHING! WE ORDERED AN APPETIZER IT NEVER CAME! WE ORDERED THE SAME BEER TWICE. IT NEVER CAME BUT SHOWED UP ON THE BILL???? THE STEAK WE HAD WAS FLAVORLESS COMPLETELY NO FLAVOR THE ONLY THING THAT WAS GOOD ON THE PLATE WAS THE CHIMICHURRI AND POTATOES BUT HONESTLY WE MAKE IT BETTER AT HOME! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I LIKE THE BISTRO BETTER BY THE BIRDGE WE WILL GO THERE IF WE EVER GO BACK. My husband was celebrating his first job fighting fires with the dozer teams and wanted to take us out to a nice meal after all the hard work he did on the park fire. It took until now to get his payment. We were so excited about this trip. I am so disappointed! They only remove $12 dollars from the bill, which I don't think even fully covered the two beers we were charged and never given🤨 He got one of three beers ordered the asparagus was so nasty I couldn't eat it as it was undercooked yet charred and had no flavor. The eggs were okay the meat I didn't eat because it was overcooked and completely flavorless. The beer was okay the Sangria was no bueno!

**Thank you for the response, owner. I would be happy to talk with you, but would need your name/contact info.** The atmosphere is so good, right next to the sundial bridge and river trail. I was disappointed with the service and the food was good, but not amazing. After being seated it took several minutes for our server to come by. We had missed breakfast and asked if we could get avocado toast and/or eggs added to a lunch item. The server went to check, took him 10 minutes to come back and say, breakfast is put away, so sorry. The kitchen was directly behind our table. We ordered irish coffee, it took 10 minutes to arrive. They used canned whipped cream. (A good restaurant should use real heavy whipped cream). We asked for cream for our coffee, they brought it in a plastic to go container, see picture. Lunch was good, just not up a notch like I would expect at a nice restaurant like Mosaic. I know the service industry is struggling to keep great servers. I do have to say there were about 5 tables and 5 servers working, so.. some training and attention to service really needs to happen. Also, tried to find a "contact" option on the website to send this feedback, but couldn't find it. Pics: ketchup in metal container, ranch dressing and coffee creamer in plastic to go containers. Easy fixes.

Had lunch there yesterday with my daughter. I would say the food was okay, maybe good... it was a very long wait to get in, granted, it's a new place and there was other people that thought they would try it at lunch time, but when you are not acknowledged when you walk in, and have to wait 15 minutes to get a seat when there are tables available something needs to be improved after we ordered we waited 15 minutes and realized if we don't get our order soon, we won't have time to eat. Work schedules ask too much of us! ;) I asked if the order can't be ready soon to just make it to go and Wallah!!! We got our food. soup, salad and a sandwich shouldn't take that long that's for sure, but it was good, the soup was very good.. and salad how can you go wrong with that, brisket sandwich it was okay as well. I've heard of restaurants needing some time to sort things out but one should never run out of water. And don't expect I've in that water.. not sure the angle there. I'll try it again when the newness wears off.

My friend and I have both been having a lot of struggles in our personal lives and needed a day off, so we decided to take a vacation day on a random Thursday and go to the Sundial Bridge so I could see what all the hype was about. Once we were there we decided that we absolutely deserve a nice lunch and a drink so decided to go to Mosaic and it was so incredibly worth it.

We sat at the bar, and I'll be fully transparent here, it was a bad day for them. It seemed like they were short staffed, with all their FOH people looking like they were running around covering for at least one person who wasn't there, and their system kept going offline to boot. When I tell you that we had the best lunch, the most amazing drinks, and such a good time, I will go back on any day, including the days when it should have been miserable. Every single staff member was kind, but the bartender who was serving us was the best. He was apologetic when he felt he was behind, even though we never felt like we were being ignored or that anything was moving slowly. We were able to enjoy our food (we split the ceaser salad, and a french dip) when we asked him to make us a drink, based off color, liquor type and "sweet" he not only did so but made us probably the best drink I've ever tasted.

The food was top tier, but beyond that we were able to sit there and talk about death and tear up, then switch to laughing over something ridiculous and still felt welcome to be there taking up space at their bar. I wish I lived closer I would go back regularly because the staff that was was so great. I cannot for the life of me remember our bartenders name, but it was Thursday July 24 so if management sees this please give that guy a raise, or at the very least some praise. He handled two frazzled women with grace, and when other customers were being unkind he never faltered and stayed professional across the board.

13/10 on all fronts, we will absolutely be coming back and...

Atmosphere/Aesthetic: 10/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Customer Service/Friendliness: 4/10 Offerings: 6/10 Overall: 7/10

Attached to the immaculate 4-star Sheraton Hotel in Redding, Mosaic Restaurant continues to fall short in it's efforts to present fine "cuisine-dining" to the Northstate.

Positioned perfectly alongside the Sundial Bridge walkway, the modern style restaurant boasts rustic wood beams, fantastic lighting and three or four seating areas to fulfill an array of needs. The front and back patios are shaded for the hot Redding nights, and draw a large crowd of Northstate patrons.

Once past the views unfortunately, things begin to go South. The service has become consistently slow and unprofessional. If you are placed with a few servers in particular, you are in for a long night and might as well make your way back to the kitchen and place an order yourself. Servers have been friendly, but unknowable to the food they are serving and the standards they should be keeping as an attachment to the Sheraton Hotel. Many times it appears as though the staff simply does not want to be there. Where is the passion? The heart? The drive to be Redding's best?

The menu lacks true flair and expression from a Chef aimed at providing a small variety of cuisines to customers. There is an apparent higher focus being given to the restaurant's pizza menu than to the actual dinner entrees. The food has often been hit-or-miss, typically over-cooked and/or over-seasoned with overpowering spices.

There are a handful of local businesses in the Northstate that are providing similar, if not higher quality food with exceptional customer service. The ambiance and location of Mosaic are spot-on, unfortunately the lack of care from it's staff may have served its final dinner to...

So I normally don't write reviews, but feel i needed to this time. I want to preface this by saying our previous visits here have been fine. In fact we like the pizza so much that after a very busy 3 day weekend we just wanted to have one of their pizzas and go home and chill, so we ordered takeout. Ordered our usual pizza and caesar salad to go. Really didn't want to drive across town, but the wife got the best of me. So we picked up our food and drove home. Upon opening up the salad...no salad dressing. Kind of disappointing, but we had dropped by Costco earlier and i happened to grab a boxed premade ceasar to eat during the week, so grabbed a dressing packet and salad saved! Then my wife started to split up the salad and many of the pieces of salad were bad. Not wilty, but well beyond having that super dark green clump that you get right before it goes liquid. So disappointing. We didn't want to chance it, as this wasn't just one piece, it was several. So we ate the pizza (which was consistently good) and the wife insisted on driving back to return the salad. When i saw the price of the salad i could see her point, and when she took it back in she was told that several people don't like the salad and he was sorry, but she told him the salad was BAD...as in old! So he apologized and refunded the price of the salad. Thought that was a bit lame-had to drive all the way back to return a bad item (with no salad dressing). Kind of expected more from them - sorry to say we probably won't be back, as there are other places in town and i really don't feel like we should have to check our order carefully before we leave! Kind of a bummer as we really like Mosaic, but this put a downer on an...
