It was super nice! And the price is just right! Didn't get to try any of the little shops posted up, but I don't doubt they were good! I do recommend that when taking pictures try your flash on. One thing that did upset me was that I had asked prior to going if I could bring my dog, he's a labrador border collie mix, well behaved and medium size. They said no pets allowed only service dogs-fine I respected that. However, on the day of I show up and there's chihuahuas and pomeranians in line waiting to get in-HOW ARE THOSE SERVICE DOGS? ... I tried to ask one of the personnel checking people in and she said "Really? I didn't see them.. sometimes people with epilepsy need there dog, it helps calm them down". Aside from this they didn't ask for proof of it being a sevice dog. All I wanted was family pictures. 😭

I come to Redding on business and never seem to have time to get to the Sun Dial Bridge and the trails. This time I did. I loved it. If I lived here I would come every chance I got. I went early when it was cooler. Make the time. Take in the beauty of nature. It heals the soul. There's a nice art walk too. There are restrooms, dogs were on leashes and well-behaved. I toured a small playground that included adult-sized exercise equipment and I came upon two Free Little Libraries, one at the playground and one near the entrance. Bring a book, take a book. There's an overpriced snack place at the entrance and I noticed two security guards, which is a good feature in the times we find ourselves.

The light show every year is beautiful and the general experience is as well, I love coming to the light show every year even if it is a little bit pricey. A lot of my favorite pictures and memories come from this little walk ☆ I would totally reccomend going to the lights at least once or twice, although it might be better to aim to come on a less busy day and bring your own hot cocoa with you so you dont have to worry about their expensive food and beverage prices

I’ve been enjoying this park, the light festivals, Sundial Bridge and its activities, and Turtle Bay for many years. The river trails are peaceful and easy to walk (with more challenging trails for those who like a bit more of a hike). It’s one of my favorite places to go, and a great place for me to take photos. There’s a little something for everyone in and around Turtle Bay and the Sundial Bridge. (If you do go at night pleeease be careful and never go alone!)
