THEY SOLD MY FUR COAT! My personal coat that I wore into the store. My personal coat that I wore into the store and checked with the clerk at the front. Did I mention my grandma left me that fur when she passed away! Let me start at the beginning, and I’ll make it brief. I walked into the new store. Very excited to see all that was done with it. Very happy to be there to give my business to this local business. walking around the store with my bag and my big coat on was a little bit hot and warm and bulky. And it was leaving my shopping experience a little to be desired. So, my friend and I both checked our fur coats to the clerk! they put both coats on one hanger. Even checked my purse. About halfway through this fabulous (insert sarcasm) shopping experience, I asked for my purse back because I needed to call and check on my kids with the babysitter. That being said, me and my friend left the store because I needed to get home. once I got home, I realized that I forgot my coat. I called the store, explained what happened, acknowledge that I realize they’re closing in about five minutes. I didn’t want to keep them late and I asked if I could pick it up in the next couple of days. She said yes. A quick sidenote was when I checked my jacket to the front the owner even made a joke of “don’t worry we Won’t sell it”…. A couple of days went by and I called the store again and let them know that I was deathly sick but I’d come pick it up. Well, I went in for days after I had left the jackets there and when I spoke to the girl in the front, her answer to me was, “I don’t know I only work here on Tuesdays”. And I started getting a little bit nervous, knowing that that was my grandma’s jacket and, they didn’t know where my friend jacket was either. The girl that was working that day pretty much told me “big whoop there’s nothing I can do cause I don’t know anything about it.” then I told her can you look again it’s very important jacket to me and I can’t believe that it wouldn’t be here. And she still just looked at me like I was insane. Then I told her that I needed her to call the manager or the owner and figure out what was going on. It was not OK that two fur coats were missing and nobody knew where they were. A long and emotional story short, they did not have my jacket. So then I proceeded to look on the racks on the floor, and I found my friends jacket, but to know regard mine was not there. I was in tears m….definitely crying. Definitely super sad. I took my ftiends jacket off of the hanger and proceeded to tell the lady how mad I was, and she still looked at me like I was insane. So not only did they sell my coat. I wasn’t offered the money from the sale of the jacket. I wasn’t offered a new jacket! I wasn’t offered a tissue I wasn’t offered anything, but can you leave? We are closing soon. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this store snd even more disappointed in the owner and how she dealt with it! if it were up to me, I have the place shut down because emotionally,I am very sentimental to that jacket and they didn’t do a darn thing to make it anything right! they just pushed me out of the store like I was a bother. I know that emotionally I can’t make decisions based on that so the end of the day I would not have it shut down, but I am not impressed with that store at all anymore. I will never be there ever again....
Read moreUpdate 2: Response to reply: Did you hear when I said I have screenshots? Obviously we aren't talking about the same Facebook event page. It says "more for adults" on the event page I'm on. "Easter at RPM: a Day of fun," event page. It specifically says your egg hunt is "more for adults". Your employee also admitted to me there were only 3 eggs for adults with gift cards. I asked her. I saw you said there were 16 eggs, which is nice , but I'm telling you the truth : - we got there right at 1 and didn't find any at all. I was there in person and I'm telling you what actually happened. Defensiveness isn't necessary. Have a good day. (Update. I'd like to help the next event. I'd like to donate and hide eggs for an adult egg hunt. At least 40 eggs, as the store is huge. And put them up high for the adults. Either here, or produce my own event. Just think it'd make so many adults happy. With and without disabilities. And the new store did look cool and way bigger. I was just so let down by the event.)
The egg hunt event with Reno Public Market today was a huge let down. I'll explain that in a minute , as there were no eggs for adults at the so called adult egg hunt. Backstory. I've been shopping with Junkee for ten years. I've bought a ton and exchanged a ton. I've had a few bad experiences before but I never said anything. Anyway today , the public event page specifically said there was an event here today. A 1pm egg hunt that is "more for adults" but kids were also welcome. It mentioned gift cards in eggs that adults could win. There was another egg hunt, specifically for KIDS, upstairs at the same time, outside of the store. I brought my "new adult" teen that has had tons of childhood trauma and major losses this week, etc. She got there early and NO eggs!! A few eggs were on the floor and immediately in the first minute all the toddlers picked them up! I went in to help her and saw dozens of adults, if not 30 adults, frantically looking!! None of them had found any egg. I started asking adults and no one had found any eggs. I'm sorry but this isn't fair or honest. If I threw an adult egg hunt, I'd put all the eggs up high so kids couldn't get it. I'd put lots of eggs out so that every adult got some, even if just coupons, or candy, and not gift cards. To make a long story short my teen left in tears on EASTER as the disappointment reminded her of the recent deaths and the losses this week!! Later tonight, seeing the owner's page, she touted a pic of a kid winning the 100 gift card from an egg?!!! I'm sorry. This is an adult clothing store. Not kids. And the egg hunt was supposed to be "more for adults" to quote the Facebook event page!!! If you just said the event was mostly for kids and not many eggs, it would've been fine. But instead, you got hopes up and it was very disappointing. I saw lots of adults bringing their adult kids with disabilities, only to find no eggs. Don't feel like attending any event here ever again. Left empty handed and decided not to buy anything due to the...
Read moreJunkees is very unprofessional, rude, and misleading when they buy your items.
I went in today with prom dresses in good condition, two genuine leather jackets, and multiple perfect condition vintage shirts. I told him it was my first time selling to them. After they went through them, the man working there piled the extremely large prom dress (a puffy l princess dress) on top of everything so that I could not see any of the items they were accepting. Without showing me which items they were taking or even how many of them, he then asked me if I wanted cash or store credit. He had already put the items on the counter directly behind him where a few other clothing items were so once I realized it wasn’t just the dress, II asked to see which ones he was taking and he was extremely rude and said in a nasty tone, “I wouldn’t give you $22 for just the dress” and then in response to my question, “ I don’t know, they’re already mixed in with everything else” when they were literally on top of the counter right in front of my eyes. He plopped them down in front of me and at that point I already felt humiliated by the way he was speaking to me so I just wanted to leave even though I knew that I should’ve been told which items he took. I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up because of the way he was treating me so I didn’t saying anything and I’ll regret it forever.
There’s absolutely no credibility or record in which items they’re taking or how much they’re giving you for each item. He could have made up a price for all I know. They don’t even give you a receipt for how many items and the prices they give you. They just want your clothes and for you to leave without knowing anything about the process so they can resell your item for ten times the price. I would NEVER recommend selling to Junkees unless you want to be scammed into giving away items for dirt cheap without knowing which ones they’re taking (NEVER more than $3 in cash) or if you like being treated like you're an inconvenience rather...
