The park is 3/4 teeming with life with an assortment of habitat such as geese, ducks and squirrels clustered around the creek. Add the pleasant people walking their dogs into the mix. The other 1/4 is reminiscent of what you would see on The Walking Dead—abandoned tennis, basketball and handball courts from a bygone era. Add the concession stands by the baseball diamonds that appear to be disused and from a time when people got out on the weekends and away from their electronic devices. This park needs some TLC and it seems the City of Reno let it fall apart despite an onsite maintenance garage. The city of Reno should restore this park as it has a lot of potential and is located in the residential but geographically isolated eastern part of city limits due to being separated from the rest of the city by the airport.

Beautiful park. My brother in law has an aussie shepherd and whenever we watch her we bring her here to really let her stretch her legs and use up some energy. Lots of space and it's about a mile around the grass so great for walks too. There's tennis courts, a skate park, basketball, softball. Fun and relaxing for the whole family.

For being one of the headquarters for Reno’s Parks Department, it should be a lot cleaner, and maintained then it is. The only thing that has ever been replaced there in the last couple decades is the Play Gym area, and the only reason it was replaced was because the one before it (which was also brand new) was set on fire, huge “Tire Fire” kinda fire. How do you even do that? Drench the whole thing in kerosene? Anyways, long story short, that’s it. Now it’s starting to become a haven for junkies, and not the legal kind like in New York. They wander back and forth from there to 7/11 & Dottie’s all day long and the only time anything is done is when 7/11 is forced to call the 50. FIX THIS PARK! It still has so much to offer, but that would require the city giving a poopiecock about it’s...

Love that there's so much beautiful greenery that's always well-kept & plenty of space to walk or run, workout, or simply lay on the grass and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Never too crowded so you can actually enjoy it and relax. I bring my very shy fur baby a couple times a week. One of the few places I can take him where I don't have to worry about other dog owners that don't pay attention to their own & have no regard for others. The people that come here actually respect others around them and respect the park. Can't ask for...
