Sprinkle Donuts — Restaurant in Reno

A friend & I tried out this Sprinkle Donuts location during our weekly coffee date this morning & we were both particularly struck by the pleasant & helpful attitude of the young man behind the counter.

There was a large & enticing selection of donuts, as well as kolaches, plain & filled croissants, cinnamon rolls, & the largest apple fritters I have ever seen. I went with my standard glazed buttermilk bar & was not disappointed.

There were 4 urns of coffee at the ready, 2 dark roast & 2 light roast, as well as a small refrigerator with containers of non-dairy creamer and half & half. I had a large cup of light roast & was pleased with it.

I wish there had been a bit more seating available than the two small booths & the four seats along the window at the counter, as we had to wait for a few minutes to get into a booth for a good chat, but the availability of a sparkling clean restroom was a plus.

It will be someplace I make a point to stop when I am in that center because a good cup of coffee, donut, & clean restroom can be...

I've been a regular customer here, but I've had it with one employee. Others are very nice and I will gladly purchase from them, but today I opened the door to go in, he put on a mask and turned and walked away from me, and I turned around and left without buying a thing. He is SO unfriendly and acts like he'd rather you'd just stay away and leave him ALONE. So I will.

I'd heard he was on probation because other customers had complained, but the last two times I've been here, I've seen no improvement in his usual anti-customer service. No "Hello", no "thank you for stopping by", no NOTHING. I've tried to be friendly many times, only to be treated like dirt under his shoes. Honestly, they could install a robot, even a broken robot, that could give MUCH better customer service...

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. It’s less than a minute drive from my apartment so the location for us is very convenient. If this is your first time there, try the maple bacon bar. Warning though that you might want to get two because they are delicious!! The South McCarran location is always very clean, with an abundance of fancy and regular donuts. I’ve only seen one person working there and he is always quick to help us with our order however he is not very personable sadly. That’s the only thing I don’t like but I am sure it’s because he is overwhelmed & understaffed. Sprinkles seriously has every kind of donut you can imagine, and then some!
