Unfortunately my hometown wins the prize for the worst most unorganized goodwill I've EVER been to(and I've been to a lot!) The racks are so unorganized with inaccurate sizing, empty hangers, clothes in the aisles, inaccurate section labeling, no differentiation between shirt types AND more expensive pricing than an actually organized goodwill. I'm curious how other goodwill chains, like spokane, manage to organize things by size as well as color but tri cities goodwills can't even do 1 or the other?! Plus they pull sale price tags?! AND...why aren't the fitting rooms opened back up like in other states?! Horrible representation of goodwill stores...every time I come here I swear never again... not sure why I keep hoping it'll get better!

Don't buy gift cards from then unless you plan on using them here in the Columbia basin. I bought one and mailed it to a family member and they can't use it because they aren't in the Columbia basin area. They keep the cards behind the counter so you don't even get a chance to read the back of the card where it says that until after its paid and done for. They won't cash out or refund it either.

Now that the mask mandate is lifted and the pandemic is over, there is no good reason to keep the dressing rooms closed. I only bought 1 out of 5 of the items I wanted to because I couldn't be sure they would fit. Otherwise, the selection was good, the employees were efficient, and the long line moved quickly. The spaces in the ample parking lot were WAY to close together

OK, so I’m not going to be a complete hater on Goodwill because I do appreciate that they provide low income people opportunities to buy more affordable clothing, as well as a way to reuse the over consumption of most Americans, including myself.

With that said, I’ve been going to Goodwill for a long time. Unfortunately at the Richland Goodwill I made the choice to donate four car loads of very good condition used goods that came from my garage from over the last 15 years. I’m hopeful that they’re able to be used and appreciated by somebody else even though Goodwill will make a hefty profit. What I’m disappointed by though is the treatment of my donations. Box after box full of gently taken care of books, appliances, electronics, toys, etc., were violently thrown into huge bins, as if they were being cast into a dumpster at the dump. I literally thought this could have easily been deposited at the dump. I really wondered how profitable these damaged goods would be to the people shopping for something nice gently used condition items that are now in worse condition. I would have to think this directly affects the bottom line since the profit margin must go down as the quality of the donations have deteriorated because of the staff. I know how they box these up and move them from one location to the next, which causes them extra damage and miss treatments as well. I understand people throw away trash and leave very bad condition stuff at Goodwill, but that was not me. I donated probably near $1000 worth of merchandise had I sold it on marketplace. The biggest regret is that I didn’t donate it to the very small locally owned thrift shop down the store which rarely gets any nice merchandise. I watched car after car unload stuff that would surely be in worse shape by the time it reaches the shelf then it was when dropped off. Maybe it’s time to donate our Used items to thrift stores that value the free Merchandise they receive. They’re over consumption and over generosity Has created a careless environment, devaluing those things that actually keep their doors open, quality goods to low income families. It’s time to...

Do you guys know that goodwill throw away items in really good condition because they don't sell? I purchased an exercise bike so I had to go to the back and I saw a really nice folding table (new) that they were throwing away so I asked one of the guys if i could take it and he said yes but another didn't let me take it. The guy who gave me the table said to go ask inside if I can take it because he didn't wanted to get in trouble, so I went inside and ask one of the cashiers and she told me if now sees you take it you can take it. So I went and load it into my car without the guys seeing me because I didn't wanted to get the guy in trouble but that made me feel like I was stealing it. Everything they don't sell the throw away and destroy everything that the could destroy with a machine they have there. I went today and and saw something I could use like a gate and one lady that seem to be a security guard saw me and asked me if I need it help, I asked her if I could take it and she said "no" with a really mean look and I asked her "can I buy it" and she said "no" again still with the mean look. The day of the table I saw really good staff like purses, books, dishes, frames, anything you can think of. They also throw away exercise machines in pretty good condition. They rather throw good staff away than letting people take it for free or at least bring the price down so people can take it at an affordable price. They have prices that are so ridiculously high for a donated item!! If you guys want to donate post it on the market place people would appreciate and gladly take i, plus it saves you money on gas...

Such a weird experience lol. I had my 6 month old baby and we were looking around. Then I realised the bag of jeans I was going to return, I accidentally dropped them off with my donation box like 10 minutes prior. I went up to one of the cashiers to see if there was any chance of getting my return bag and if not then that’s completely okay. She didn’t respond back to me but picked up the phone to call out one of the guys from the donation center. Then she awkwardly stood there without saying anything to me lol. And yelled out for whoever’s next in line to go to her. While I was clearly standing in front of her ā€œbeing helped by herā€. Literally made no sense. Using my big girl brains lol I moved over to the side by the door assuming I’m waiting for the guy to help me. Then some random abnoxious lady was literally shouting ā€œMa’am ma’amā€ I was literally so embarrassed and confused lol. And I explained the situation of how I’m waiting for a guy to see if he can find my bag of jeans. And she talked over me shouting that ā€œwe can’t do that for you. We can’t give you back your donationā€ then the guy showed up at the perfect timing with my bag 😭 So embarrassing...
