Awww...so peaceful & relaxing! The park is so surreal and enjoyable for the entire family. I graduated from VUU many years ago and arrived in Richmond today to visit my wondrrful mom! My first stop was Byrd Park/Maymount Park...Lol I still remembered how to get there, after all these years! The up keep and the park itself is a gem for the residents living in the surrounding metro Richmond area! We had a blast feeding the ducks...Gotta Love...

I grew up in this area. I love to go sit and walk. It’s been a safe place to me my whole life. And to top it off it’s a lot going on in, around and surrounding areas all on walking distance. Tennis 🎾, baseball ⚾️ and basketball 🏀. Walk a little further and you got fine dining and snacks. And to top that. Whatever you’ve feasted on you can walk it off on your way...

Only on Saturdays and Sundays you are not allowed to access Byrd Park. Is this a racism act? Due to many more black/brown people gathering with sound, around the water, wiping down their vehicles or conversing with others. Why create a “SILENT RACISM INCONVENIENCE”?✝️♥️...
