Westwood Athletics — Attraction in Richmond

I’ve been coming to Westwood Athletics for almost 4 months now, and every day since joining I’ve come in with the same attitude and excitement to get a workout done. The equipment is state-of-the-art, which I feel has improved my performance towards activities outside of this facility. I feel that the community here at Westwood is built on integrity and supporting one another to grow in their individual playing field. Everyone here is helpful, honest, and don’t make you feel silo’d. Plus, the ambiance is great. Really gets you dialed into what you’re trying to accomplish. This place is ELITE and ahead of its time. If you want to Oly Lift, this is your place. If you want CrossFit, this is your place. If you want a swole sesh with the homies and mirrors to check on them guns, this is your place. AND, to add a cherry on top, if you want a place to recover, having both the option of an infrared sauna and cold plunge, this is your place.

You truly couldn’t ask for a better, 24/7 access gym to call your own. It’s gritty. It’s local. And I think the business model is ahead of its time. Excited to come back here anytime I am in and around RVA.

WWA fills a real gap in the gym community in RVA. 24/7 access; sauna and cold plunge amenities included; and a well-provisioned combination of rigs, platforms, free weights, and machines (belt squat! hip thrust machine!!) make this spot pretty unique.

The community is respectful and laid back, and the co-owners take feedback seriously and are clearly invested in WWA doing things differently and well. No pressure to spend extra $ or pushes to sign up for individual or group training - it really is a gym for people to hop in whenever, get a solid recovery or workout in, and be on their way.
