It's probably because a real merry-go-round exists here.
The only place one can see these in their natural habitat is in small towns.
These rare and dangerous playground features rarely escape persecution by insurance company.
The paperwork dude for the town failed to check the merry-go-round box on the insurance company's intake form.
And no insurance company employee ever actually followed up and went out of their way to the small town to look at the park equipment.
And so it exists,
for now.
It exists until someone breaks a bone, or bruises a spleen, or something like that.
