Dear lazy dog. I spent 50 dollars on a meal and drinks for my friends and I. We were at your saloon from 5-6. That is hardly 2 hours. Right after I paid my bill I was told that I now had to pay to use the pool table. The restaurant is usually not near full when we enter and we have only been asked to share the pool table once with someone and we gladly complied. If you want 21+ in your restaurant then make that a rule but don't try to scam children. I find it very disrespectful that I support your restaurant like this and tell all my friends to come here and you treat us like that. About the comment on who's money I am spending, I work a minimum wage job at a gas station and using that money I support your restaurant. I am sorry that you feel this way and enjoy assuming things about others. I also know that you work hard and I recognize that. Have a good day. Back to the money comment one last time. I understand the value of it. I get paid 12 dollars an hour and to buy a baked potato and a drink plus tips that is...
Read moreThe Lazy Dog Saloon was fantastic! After closing out Orvis with my GF I had a case of the hangries, ready to accept a fate of gas station microwave burritos. Little did i know all the gas stations in Ouray county close at 9. So my GF does a Maps search to find anything between Ouray and Montrose that was still open, and the Lazy Dog was the answer. We make it minutes before they closed at 10:00 and sat at the bar. The bartender/server/manager was super nice and asked if we were wanting food, to which we replied "yes". She let us know that the grill was off, but the fryer was still hot. I ordered fried cheese curds and duck wings, while my GF ordered a mac and cheese burger, not hearing the part about the grill. Well the cook fired it back up for us. Everything came out plated and garnished. The food was so much better than your average bar fare! It was really upscale. The whole time the bartender/server/manager was cordial and conversational. 20/10 went far beyond....
Read moreThis place... I've spent my 42nd birthday here (at least the beginning of it). I think her name was Victoria and I can't remember the other gentleman's name but man o man. I just got off the engineer road with Rodney (my CRV) and it was sorta getting late.
I went to find some fuel at a shell station, got fuel and began looking for something to eat. It was alittle after 9pm and nothing was open but this place.
To be honest, I didn't expect much as far as quality of food goes but boy was I suprised. I've never had a Mac and cheese burger bacon 😋😋. They make everything homemade and from scratch here so they hooked me up with some very...very delicious food! Their fries that came with the burger was good and I asked her to make me a Coca-Cola with cherry flavoring and she made it perfect!
Definitely worth the stop if you are hungry or even...
