I recently went to one of the first couple showings of Jurassic World rebirth with my two daughters and we chose the XQ seats, which means me and my daughters were escorted to our seats by someone from the movies. I get up to go get snacks since my daughters were comfortable watching the trailer and in the time that I was gone, a Latino family came up to my black daughters and told them that they were in the wrong seats and that they had to get up. The movie worker (a Latino male) did not check the other familyâs tickets and instead told my daughters who were by themselves, that since they couldnât confirm their seats they had to get up. My daughters are 9 and 10 and they were alone when they were kicked out of their seats without the movie worker confirming if the other family was even correct and forced to stand alone outside of the movie without anybody helping them or coming up to them or letting me know what was going on. When I saw them in the front by the snacks standing alone, I asked them what happened and they told me and I spoke to a person from the movies who re-escorted us back to our seats, which were empty. So my daughters got kicked out of their seats for no reason and the movie personnel that took them out of their seats couldnât even confirm the other families tickets, and when we got escorted, the other family mustâve realized what they had done and went to their seats. I think itâs really really nasty to take a 9-year-old and 10-year-old out of their seats when their mom is away getting snacks and my daughters just got escorted to those seats 2 minutes prior. When I was talking to my daughters about it, they were really shaken and scared, and my oldest daughter was trying not to cry. An afternoon of catching a new movie with my two daughters that they were excited for, ended up turning into a sad experience because the family was in the seats next to us (closer to the corner) talking the whole time and looking at us. I live close by and have been supporting this movie theater for years, but Iâm taking me and my daughters elsewhere where we wonât be harassed by other people that are different from us. None of the movie personnel that I talk to cared and were just looking at me like I was trying to cause a problem. I think itâs really disgusting to mess with two small girls when theyâre just trying to watch a movie. Deserves negative stars. I shouldâve made a TikTok about the whole situation and recorded everything so that they could go viral maybe then theyâll...
Read moreI absolutely love this theater! Its clean, the seats are great, the staff is awesome and the prices are unbeatable. Not only do they have $5 Tuesdays, but they have free refills on popcorn and drinks! The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because its very common for audience members to be rowdy (using phones, talking loudly, etc.) and there are no ushers to take care of such situations. A while back, I went to the theater and it was a great experience except for this one lady sitting in front of me who was talking to her friend the entire time. It got worse when the lady took out her phone and started taking pictures with the flash. She was holding the phone so the rear was pointed towards her so when she took the picture I got blinded. She did this three times until I got up and I asked her to please put her phone away. She started cussing at me aggressively, but did so anyway and the matter ended there. This is one of the more extreme cases, but unpleasant experiences with audience members are far too common at riverside. If you plan on going to this theater, make sure you go during a matinee, it will probably still have talking audience members and such, but I wont be nearly as bad as the...
Read moreI have been going to this theater for many years but after todayâs experience I will not be coming back. I got 5 tickets for the new Superman movie and when I got there a couple was there and told them that theyâre in our spots, he showed me that that he also had some of the same spots. I was very confused to I went to tell an employee and he was also confused so then he went to get the manager. The manager then told us that because the couple bought the tickets online that they got the seats but as I can remember I got them before they did as I went in person. I checked the website when I got them and they were reserved I shouldâve taken a screenshot to show proof but never did I think that I would have to deal with something like that. We suggested that the couple should move but the manager said that he couldnât as the spots were all filled and best they could do was to move us to the front. I though that was ridiculous because itâs not my fault that the theater had a problem with their system. I ended up just asking for a refund and I shouldâve been compensated for the trouble, never coming here ever again, go to cinemark...
